Today I decided to go to someplace I've never explored. I take the back roads through Wisconsin and find some cool little towns and a State Park with a huge waterfall, unfortunately I could not get super close. By the end of the day I was without a camping spot. I ran into a local guy who pointed out some public land. I found a epic campground and had it all to myself. Pinch me I must be dreaming!!

If that’s a logging road and not just an ATV track, those bridges should be capable of handling log trucks. Every time I’ve camped in that part of the country it’s rained but it’s still gorgeous.

That's the bird sanctuary area and it's a field trial area for bird dogs and definitely a good place to boondock. My backyard brother.

That's so cool. It was an absolutely beautiful area! Now that you mentioned bird dogs I understand. I was thinking it was for sled dogs or something. Initially when it said dog training grounds I looked around and thought there was no way anyone was putting on agility K-9 courses.....there's no equipment! So I assumed sled dogs. But know I see....Bird dogs. That makes a lot of sense.

There's definitely a void for Truck Camper/s content. We're selling our fifth wheel (VERY nice fifth wheel) and getting a TC ourselves for the flexibility to basically go anywhere and do anything instead of being restricted so much to developed campgrounds and areas that may as well be developed campgrounds. Can't exactly explore a dirt road/track with 12,000lb trailer behind the truck. Keep up the good work!

You are so right! I'm just finishing the two week road trip. You saw the first one. I edited video number 5 last night. You will see in the up coming weeks I find some truly remote areas! Also, my truck had the front driver's side caliper fall off yesterday as I was attempting to drive down a 7 mile 7 to 8 % grade. I bring tools with for this reason. I got it cobbled together and made it down....you will have to watch the next few videos!

I really appreciate you checking out all the old videos! You will see the progression with editing and recording. That first year, I was really concerned about how I talked. I know I have a Minnesota accent, and I really tried hard for it not to show. I was concerned about what people thought of me. Now, after 2.5 years, I figured it's easier to be myself. I also stopped thinking about what I'm going to say before I press record. I found that everything flows better when I just be myself.

I hear you on the boondocking issue. Cant stand staying in designated campsites with paved roads, restrooms, power, etc. Only time I can tolerate them is when it is brutally hot. Also, get yourself a Wisconsin delorme atlas/gazetteer. Oftentimes there are roads that aren't actually on GPS that are on the atlas, and vice versa. Plus it helps trip planning because you have essentially a gigantic map of the entire state(s)

It's the best! And you are so right about truck campers being non-existent in parts of the country. Up here in Minnesota most dealers did not have them on their lots until a few ago. Prior to that the only TC I would find were the big old ones from the 70's and 80's parked out behind sheds and barns. I've owned a few of those....its funny how they always smelled the same inside.

Hi Kenny, great videos! I'm contemplating early retirement and travelling the USA in a set up similar to yours, I live in NZ at the moment. Do you think you could survive a full ski season in the Rockies in your camper? I'm thinking a full hook up RV park for say 4 months. I have been to the US several times and love how every state is so different, I could spend a year just driving around and looking at things.

The Arctic Fox, along with a few other TC manufactures, are considered a four season camper. You would have to do some insulating of the outside storage compartments to keep the water valves from freezing, but definitely possible. If you were plugged to electricity in you could also run some electric heaters in those cubbies to keep the water and holding tanks from freezing. I think your idea sounds like a great time!! And you are right, this country has sooooo much to see!

This bike is the Rad Mini 4. I've had it for about 4 years now. I love the bike. The reason I bought the Rad Mini is because everything is externally mounted. Other bikes have the battery and controllers built into the down tube on the bike. That makes them hard to upgrade or purchase aftermarket parts. If anything goes bad on the Rad, I can purchase any battery or even a bigger aftermarket battery to mount on the bike. So many ebikes have proprietary equipment, and original parts can be hard to find, or way more expensive than the aftermarket equivalent.

Sure, there is some value in his being in a secluded spot but there is always the uncomfortable truth that Ken is very selective in who he will camp with. Do not stay in that loop! Stay where people can see you and see by your lack of interest in them that they should move on, NOW! May every spot you see Kenny, be dominated by a panoramic water view, be level, be completely without refuse and be blocked on three sides by wind blocking trees.
