In today’s video, I’ll be talking about owner operators and ownership. I’ll also be talking about other ways to make money through multiple income streams. If things get worse economically, are you financially prepared to whether the storm? Investing in assets that are able to generate passive income is a great way to increase your net worth. You don’t have to be a business owner to attain financial freedom. Having good money management skills is key.

Investing is a “get rich slow” scheme. I have around $35k in a Roth and $60k in an individual brokerage account, so $95k & change total. A lot of people say that you want to hit the $100k milestone as soon as possible, as interest really starts to compound after that.

I’m not sure how it works with money in multiple accounts but you should continue to see progress. I have 3 rental properties and over 500k in stock investments. I did this over 20 years. I’m at the point where my kids college is paid for. It takes time!

My wife makes 123,400 a year and I make 74000 driving locally in raleigh nc. I went back to school at community College to learn construction. We live off one income and I use my income to build our new home. We will have 300,000 equity when complete. When we sell, i will have enough money to build one new house a quarter and be my own bank and quit driving tractor trailer

I have friends who have benefited from these recommendations. 20 years later he's 700,000 in the bank and retired at 57. It's possible man. What i would say about ur channel and DB is that yall do give helpful content. I was fortunate to have my father that basically forced me into buying etf’s and index funds when i was 18 and purchasing my first home at 21 and i didnt realize how buying and keep buying and holding on to it would benefit until i hit 28/29. I honestly didnt know it was that many men and women of color not investing for their future until maybe during the pandemic. I honestly never thought about it i guess, or maybe i just felt everyone was doing it because before the pandemic that wasnt a conversation we as african Americans had on youtube i guess. But i wld say your content does bring value to the culture, and u seem genuine about helping ppl. Even though i had multiple trucks and independent for 17years, my networth today didnt come from trycking, it came and grew from ownership in stocks, bonds, real estate, and commodities i like. I work for walmart now and if i cld go back 17years i wld start and stayed with walmart getting that dollar for dollar match and i wld still have my same Lifestyle that i have today. So ppl understand being an independent operator is good when its good, but its bad when its bad but buying into a roth at $500 a month and matching a 401k, and owning a home wld get u where u want to be in 18yrs….i promise! Keep Up the good work.

Self employed vs business owner is too different things. One still has to go out and do the day to day task. The other has employees do that task and pays payroll. If you don’t want to do either, you can always invest!! Real estate, stocks, gold, other peoples businesses. Etc.

Would you ever consider being a Transportation Manager at GFS since you have previous experience in management at Krispy Kreme? Or does it pay less than chain delivery since it’s salaried?

No, I’ve been asked in the past by management if I’ve ever thought about our leadership program. I told my ATM I wasn’t interested. As a manager, you have a lot of responsibilities. Conference calls, meetings, P&L reports, store visits, payroll, hiring, conducting interviews, running routes if necessary, dealing with customer complaints, responding to emails daily, etc. You’re on call 24/7 as a manager. It’s nice being salaried as a manager at times and receiving sweet bonuses but I enjoy my time these days. I don’t have to worry about people calling off in the middle of the night anymore or running a route when I still have office work to complete lol. My time is more valuable. With that said, TM’s make good money. As they should.

No bro..It doesn’t have to be love or hate. I can tell you this, if I hated it I would’ve left 5yrs ago. GFS is definitely a good company in my opinion. I’m on record for saying that in many videos. Not perfect but no company is perfect. I’m in a good situation. Can’t complain
