hey TTD just want to give you some well deserved props im 57 yrs old 30 + of those driving truck ,when drivers were also mechanics, we had too fix stuff on the road and improvise till we got to the destination and then maybe go to a shop maybe not, my point is being a long haul driver is more than just driving , any body with a cdl can do that , the drivers today are robots programmed to do one thing the moment something goes wrong they have no answers . guys gals if you commit to this life learn everything you can about the vehicle you drive and invest in the tools you need to get your job done on a daily basis no matter what , this is not just a job its a life style you either love it or its not for you

I have a very very similar setup with the exception of the 1” impact for wheel lugs. If you’re an owner operator then it’s essential you carry these things and if it’s a part that will leave you stranded and you have space then a spare is always good. Roadside is insane expensive. I need to get an impact for lugs, being able to swap a tire out will save time and money. Less than a month ago I had a blowout and had to pay Loves 310 to come switch it with my spare (Mount tire and put back on) and I waited a little over 4 hours for them to show up after he finished another roadside call. Thanks for all your videos driver!

Reminds of me with cycling ,I got most tools to service it ,than after doing it and looking back ,u dont have time or room for anything else in life ,thats what ive learned about. Getting to attatched to things u miss out on everything's that around u ,sure u achieve greatness in your mind but how much more could u have gained if u would have balance in life , not get wrapped up in one thing that steals your 💙

One thing I got told as a heavy equipment operator is to never use a chain to pull trucks out of a ditch always use a steel rope because if a link snaps on a chain ohh boy
@markm00003 жыл бұрын
You can get rid of some of that but most of it is really good. I would clean it all up so it’s easy to find on the side of the road in the dark. Also buy new wrenches and sockets in the sizes you’re missing. You’re going to need it someday.

Probably packs it tighter than a frogs ass under the bunk. Keeps things used alot available. And unpacks when needed. Based on him having this set up his truck is more than likely WELL MAINTAINED and this is more for saving money and pride

I recommend getting a extra electrical light tester and test wires with alligator clip ends. That way you can test a circuit if it gets power and has ground while being away from the wire.
