I work for Heineken in the Netherlands, delivering beer through our country with a truck full of beer and pumping beer from the truck through a hose into a big beer-tank (250/500/1000 litres) installation at the costumer basement/attic/shelf, I also bring alot of edc like flashlight (lumintop tool AA 2.0) to look into a dark pub or looking in the beer tank if everything is oke while pumping, also I always got a powerbank on me 5000 mah, because communication is super important in my job. Also I got a little knife always on me to cut the bags that comes out of the tanks which we have to replace everytime we fill a tank. I do this work for like 2 years now and I would never knew I would carry so much edc but I just feel alot more safer with it in and around my pocket, thanks for all the vids Taylor so far !

You should definitely fasten your hitch to the truck somehow, especially with a child. In the event of a rollover, a 30 pound hitch is the last thing you want flying around your cab

Everyone should put together a solid trauma kit for their vehicles. Don't count on the store bought first aid kits, they will be useless if you come up on a car wreck. Plan to treat head wounds, broken bones, compound fractures, or worse. Do your research and learn how to use it. This channel is based on being prepared, but saving a life is more important than being able to fix your tripod or light up a football stadium. Love the channel, good work! Also, you should throw in a good tow rope. 😃👍

The surviveware first aid kit shown in this video is the best first aid kit I've ever gotten my hands on. It is not a trauma kit, but it has all the medical supplies that I learned how to use in basic first and cpr classes. For the untrained and those without the knowledge of how to put together a proper trauma kit I think the surviveware or similar first aid kit that is compact and well organized is a worthy investment. And for less than $40 I think it's definitely worth carrying something around that can save someone's life

I have the exact same jumper/air compressor. 2nd use of compressor something popped & it wouldn’t work. Amazon refunded & because of what the item is they told me to not ship it back. So now I have a bulky jump starter that also won’t hold a charge very long. I recommend other dedicated products for those needs.

I would recommend keeping your first aid more accessible from the drivers compartment. And keep it in the center console or something like that. If your in a rollover or are shot in your truck and it’s not nearby, that’s a problem. I see a lot of other folks use Velcro to attach it somewhere. But again, if your in a rollover I can promise you it’s not staying attached to that Velcro.
@Faenwolf4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for so many neat ideas! Great Video! Two EDCs in Car I keep close to drivers seat: large one handed victorinox Trekker NS and an emergency hammer with belt cutter. There are tools for the keychain to break glas but having a hammer seems better to me. Used velcro zip ties around its handle to stick it to the sides below my seat so I can grab it fast and it otherwise stays in place.

Another vote for the cargo net, I'm a fan. I have a top bag for my 4x4, so put my gear in that, and cinch it down, and as usually with that set up I'm off surfing, my board goes down one side, then the net over that, and more straps. Means I'm super happy doing motorway speeds with all that up top, knowing it's secure. A few years ago I flagged down a guy whose board was flapping up and down as he was doing about 70mph, because he'd only used two straps and one had worked loose,... so then I started using the net to spread the load and add redundancy. Couple of additions, I keep rope, a saw, and a folding shovel in the rear door cargo net, in case I need to move downed tree branches.

Recommendations: More flashlights (jk) Handgun Glock/Sig/Colt whatever or nonlethal (Taser, MACE) on side panel driver side door; AR-15 pistol if you want something more Beefier First Aid kit. Trauma kit with tourniquets and shears. If you are trained, I'd carry something to treat pneumo's and even airway management in the field. I always keep a cooler for cold stuff. Serves as storage when not using, and can put cold items from grocery store runs in there. Doesn't have to be a Yeti lol. Fire extinguisher or fire retardant blanket Foldable military shovel. Very useful. Not sure if I saw para cord in there or not Basic survival shit: fire starter kit, paper maps, rations, water filtration (pills, filter, etc) Bivy sack or emergency blankets Duct tape. .... Duct tape. Back up satellite phone, satellite GPS, HAM radio whatever Dash cam or some sort of video surveillance One hundred dollar bill or broken into 20s; having that change for tolls is good If you wear contacts, back up contacts in case yours come out so you're not blind Emergency water because we're human; durable water bottle A good pair of waterproof boots. Saved my ass many times. Extra clothes that have seasonal versatility Small compact binoculars. Seeing things from afar is to your advantage Sanitizer and N95 masks. Because it's 2020.

If you don,t park in a garage lockup luckup luckup! Nice setup tho. The Cargo area under the rear seat is for mounting a secure storage box for you "Truck Gun" btw; always gotta keep the little ones and Mrs safe. You can also get toolboxes that slide up into the bed or roller drawer systems that raise the floor of the bed but have slide out drawers. These are great for larger hunting, fishing, and long tools.
