I can check on that for you. Don't have the details on hand but I'm sure we can pull the rate con and BOL.

Appreciate you mentioning deadhead in your newer videos. I did great this last week as well so I agree it was a decent week.

Excellent job Dave, keep up the great work. It's a bit more work on the videos but it ultimately provides the info many of you guys have been asking for.

So disp gets 2 rate cons on I trailer . Does the driver get a % of both rate cons or do they package it as 1 for $2.50 mile. I ve seen 2 rate cons adding up to $5 mile yet the driver only gets 2+. Which is actually 50% when leased to a 70/30 carrier. A carrier will book 2 loads 2 rate cons but dispatch to driver as 1 load with multiple stops. Then they short the miles between stops to account for the rate they offer. Sugar coating loads for bigger margins then you actually made .

I'm seeing job postings for Sprinter Cargo expedited, formerly "cents per mile", now $1.00 to $2.00 per mile?! Is this correct, or just baiting?
@dandrivingthewhitevan6072Ай бұрын
Baiting. $1 per mile is for loads 500 miles and under. The steady rate is .85/mile. This is not an average. It is what you will see as the Gross rate.
@AFTDispatchАй бұрын
@williamrobinson6680 I'm not too familiar with HotShots and LTL as I've been out of that portion of the market for some years now but I would think in today's market, with today's rates, @dandrivingthewhitevan6072 is probably right when he says this is baiting. Look for local customers instead and run locally or regionally at worst.

I usually need to listen to videos at 1.25 playback speed. That's not the case with your videos. Regular speed for AFT!

Hahaha that made me laugh, and here I am consciously trying to slow down 😄😆😉

3,900 mi in 6 days?
@NowwhatTV-p8dАй бұрын
Yeah too much driving the driver will be dead after 6 months driving 😂😂😂
@AFTDispatchАй бұрын
Yeah it's definitely a lot of miles but ultimately it's 650 per day and some guys do run even more than that. We certainly don't recommend running such a schedule nonstop.
@AFTDispatchАй бұрын
We certainly don't recommend driving like that long-term, luckily it's nearly impossible to dispatch a driver in this way for weeks and months at a time.

It all depends on what you need. Do you have your own MC authority or are you looking to lease on? Give me a call or text and we'll go over everything. Thank you Josh, call (801) 448-6363 and hit extension 1

How could he drive 3.900 miles LEGALLY? Unless cheating on ELD.... 🤔
@stuartellis7436Ай бұрын
You can get up to 4200 miles especially if you can drive 75mph.

You can’t drive over 3500 miles each week 2500 to 2800 is more realistic plus you have to do resets

What's not excellent about a dry van in this market making $9,400 in 6 days? Or a reefer bringing in $8,900 at $2.56 per mile? We had one more driver come in high but this was after the video was shot, he was actually above the $9,400 reported. So what's not to like? $10,100 for a team? Have a better day, if you'd like some help, call or text me.

Rates are still miserable…
@AFTDispatchАй бұрын
They're not where they were at peak but they have been steadily normalizing. Everyone has different operating costs and many of our customers are walking away handsomely with these rates.
@RomeoUrsu-fy9qoАй бұрын
@ They walk away handsomely,while so many are going bankrupt…that works perfect.
@AFTDispatchАй бұрын
It's not an exclusive club. Everyone can call, get more info, and sign up. What are we to do? Beg people to do what's good for them? If they have a CDL, they're passed the age of being told what's good or bad for them. People always have a choice but most would rather sit on the sidelines and complain. That's fine too. I'm okay with it.

It's simple. Just look who is in the office. Of course, it will be better. Trump is a capitalist. Capitalism is good for economies and business. It is one thing to be a politician and it's another to be a business person. Either way I don't see covid rates coming back. It will just normalized, if there are not more carriers than loads.
@AFTDispatchАй бұрын
I also don't think those rates are coming back any time soon, or ever, for that matter. Definitely makes a huge difference who's leading the country. I'm definitely hoping for the best. Thanks for stopping by.

$2.30 mile isn't a lot with a truck payment . My break even is 1.60 without at truck payment based on 10k miles per month. A truck payment adds .65 that puts your break even at 2.25. So CA to Wisconsin for 2.25 is 0 profit . For 3 days of travel. Short hauls is the way to go. Also West of I 35 cost an extra .35 mile to operate (cost of fuel , Hard Pulls)

I was a driver for years and became a broker. Now CEO of a company, but drivers that go buy trucks to go be a driver makes zero sense. You go get the contracts that will 100% make you the money you need, and you buy trucks around that business.
