Nice truck. Get an inexpensive bug shield. It will improve the front end looks. Also there is a manufactured date on all tires. I didn’t see any body rust. Nice truck!

We use fluid film or used oil mixed with bar lube on our trucks and it keeps them from rusting.

That looks like a very nice truck, I looked for one like that but ended up with a Silverado extended cab. I never understood the desire for leveling kits, been in leveled and non leveled, I don't get it. Now make sure to keep the rocker panels clean at all times after use, or they magically and very quickly disappear. Same with lower cab corners. If mine were newer I would have drilled holes and sprayed lithium grease inside them and then plugged the hole with caps so I could respray later. They rot very bad from inside out and mine are already gone. Also, clean out the bed tubes that run across the frame under the bed. You'll save it from an early rusty death. I use Rust Mort or Duro rust converter on frames after wire wheeling, then paint them. Just a few moves to make it shine for a long time!

Very nice truck for it’s age. You can tell it hasn’t seen much salt. A truck like that around here would be no where near in that kind of shape. Good find, I hope you get lots of enjoyment out of it.

You are better off with an oil spray than undercoating, The undercoating will trap moisture due tp tempter changes between it and the steel causing more rust. Just the thoughts of and old retired mechanic. Good luck with the truck!

A 20-year-old truck that looks awesome! After you get done with your leveling kit and headlights, please have those headlights aimed, so you're not one of those jerks that are blinding people when you meet them at night on the road. ( even though they are on low beam) Leave the wheels on there, they look great,!

Looks like you have plenty of jobs to complete before planting season begins. The truck looks like it was taken care of before you purchased it. Most that age are really beaten up. Glad to see you have a new ride to get around and also help out on the farm with it. Plantings right around the corner I hope it goes well for you.

Once upon a time, a 16 year old kid had great plans for a lifted K5 Blazer. All drawn up, tire size and lift, radio, and all the goodies. Then my parents said if I buy a truck to pull it, they would buy a gooseneck cattle trailer for going to shows, etc. So a K30 single rear wheel truck was ordered and left at stock suspension... Still have them both, but the K30 isn't running, and is planned to have a 5.9 Cummins 12v put in it. Have both, just 🕛& $. And I am over 50. A Chummins midlife crisis.🤣🤣

That 4.8 doesn’t have that AFM cylinder deactivation garbage on it. Much more reliable and not much difference in power. You found a nice truck, Trenton! I hope you and your family are doing ok. You sound a bit defeated in this video. I can’t even imagine how hard it is to be a dairy farmer. Hang in there, and enjoy the new truck.

So you now have a "girl friend" GMC truck. Money spent on your truck would have been spent on the girlfriend. All kidding aside its good to see you talking on some of your stuff not just the farm. I have noticed you appear more comfortable talking and sharing things much easier. Take care of your self, try to get out a wee bit sometimes. All work and no play makes things kinda boring. No offense, and not trying to be a dad. I'm sure your dad is good at doing that. Take care. Tom in Minneapolis, MN
