Some of you have asked me about paypal and
patreon to support the channel. It would be highly
appreciated (and flattering) but NOT expected in any way.
Everything would go towards improvements of the content
(camera etc.).
I really enjoy doing these clips! :-D
Link to PayPal
www.paypal.me/...
Patreon
/ truckerdashcam
Link to the Spotify-list
open.spotify.c...
A few Words about the clips:
1. This is NOT a crazy russian too much vodka compilation.
2. It's mainly daily situations from a truck's point of view
3. I try to avoid calling pepole idiots and stuff like that. I prefer just the show the different situations and let you be the judge.
4. Dont take it to serious, if you find it interesting thats great, if you can have a laugh thats even better.
5. We all can make misstakes
The camera I use is a Blackvue 650. It is mounted in a Volvo FH V4 from 2015. It measures in at 24 meters with the trailer.

Devon Dashcam totally agree. I find it amusing that everyone hates on the US and Russia but if you look around its the same all over. We may all live in different continents but we all really just want the same things out of life. A decent job, a decent home, food on the table and for our children to do better than we did.

Love the winter scenery; want more. About forty years ago, when Ralph Nader was campaigning to improve car safety, Ann Landers commented, "Cars will never truly be safe, until someone fixes the nut that holds the steering wheel'." Clearly, there has been no progress in that area.

Lots of 4 wheelers have no clue of the dangers they cause, concern for safety, or cares of courtesy with other drivers. I always acknowledge a courteous driver with a toot and/or a wave and a smile. It's the right thing to do. (I run oil filed HazMat tankers in USA).

In Sweeden as well as the rest of the driving world, human life has become expendable and some of us just don't bother to care about anyone but themselves and how "late" they are to work, hairdresser, bowling or whatever. Shameful that we've come to this point. People just don't care about "right" & "wrong". ps: love the videos.

I don't watch your videos often enough, finally saw this one, and definitely need to go through the others! I encounter this sort of driving on my daily commute in a regular sedan. I see the stunts people pull around HGVs, and cringe. One rule I always following when changing lanes in front of a truck, is to make sure that my indicator has been on long enough to be visible to the driver (far enough in front of the truck), and that there is enough space (much more that for a regular vehicle), before I move over. Worked for me so far!. Also, I need to learn to be as calm the road, the other cars can't hear what you are saying, and in any case, probably don't care.

5:50 I am almost sure that there is an electronic device some where between the brain and the steering wheel that has taken-over the drivers brain. 9:40 I *SO* respect you for that. There has been many times that I have had to stop walking because of truck drivers, here that will at times seem like they will aim for that standing water just to see what they can do with it. I do understand that some times it can't be avoided but there are times that it can.

I've been watching your videos as of late and am impressed. I especially liked the transition between winter and summer on the same stretch of road or curves. Well Done ! Also watching your videos has given me a heap more respect for what truck drivers must put up with. Because I tend to think that a good many drivers have their collective heads up their asses, when riding my motorcycle I kept my awareness at least 1/4 mile ahead of where I was at any given moment. Never got in a wreck yet with it.

Love the irony at 1:45. So our hero passes the Maersk lorry on the 'wrong side' then makes a fuss when a car does exactly the same thing to him. (In both cases because the lane to the left was moving more slowly than the traffic to the right.)
@truckdriver1982
@truckdriver1982 7 жыл бұрын
Not sure if you are familiar with Swedish law. But there is no "wrong side". 70 km/h speedlimit, so you are allowed to pass on the left or right. Plus the traffic is very slow, just as you said. And it is slow because its a lot of traffic this time of the day. And the flow dosent get any better with people who try to overake as many as possible Before they get into to the "right lane" for them, cutting everybode else of.

Hey, Thanks for answering my questions about your hours of service. So just to be sure, you can drive about 10-11 hours with a 45 minute break in between, then you have to take an 11 hour rest break? And where do you take those rest breaks at? And the footage of your trips out i the country are just beautiful!!!! Thanks for showing them to us. Also you show a while lot of patience towards all the dude a crass drives, I was not so patient in my driving career!! Thanks for you time and Also may I ask what is your name? Thoughtfully put together and edited!! I see a lot of what you speak of , having been a (relatively safe) driver for over 40 years. Experience is something you just cannot pass on.

Also, you should use your magical truck/trailer shrinking device when going uphill and slowing important people in Volvos!

Are your trucks automatic transmissions? In this country, we're just getting into them. I drove a 13 speed stick shift for a while. They were a pain in the a** to drive. Now, we have a whole generation of drivers coming out who have never driven a stick.

Its an automatic, and almost all new trucks have this now. But also started with a stick :)

Space for SUV? In the UK we have distances per speed to keep a gap which equates to roughly 2seconds - nobody adheres it, especially wagons, which makes lane choices, overtakes, and more, etc harder than it should be. On the whole, I'm appreciating the video for its simplicity. Far too many of these bad habits have become common place on roads in the UK and I'm sure abroad. The "latest craze" here is people driving at you head on, over the white line by 1ft plus.

I have seen a vid when a trucker describes that you shouldnt be inbetween two trucks as seen in 4:50 i think? Is that true, i mean, he said something about a sandwich being pressed together if a crash is up for question!
