I'm a 9-1-1 Dispatcher in Michigan, Response to calls varies by department. However there are calls that require a quick response but not necessarily requiring a full emergent response, this is often called a Code/Priority 2. No light's or sirens except for intersections/congested traffic. A lot of times officers will also kill the siren and or lights when they get close to a scene where the suspect may flee if they hear LE is on the way. Also calls for service are always dynamically changing, he could have been asked to "step up" his response from a fellow officer on scene or a situation may have escalated where he needs to get there quicker. It also means the opposite is true where they could have been disregarded or told to slow their response not long after being told to "step it up".

Nope, I’m a retired deputy sheriff in Wisconsin. If you are moving, and your emergency lights are on, your siren must be on. It’s called “Due Regard “. No turning emergency lights on to go through lights either. Made famous by Chicago PD. 😂 After Diesel’s passing, I realized that I’ve been watching your videos for 11 years!

Hey Josh I’m a RCMP detective and when I was on protroll I usually turn on the lights if I was going to a call that wasn’t a emergency just a wellness check up

Years ago I drove a Kenworth cabover. I stopped at a red light and ended up with the light almost over the cab of the truck. A police car stopped beside me and instead of crooking my neck I decided to just go when he did. Well he drove off and so did I but when I was in the middle of the intersection I saw the light was still red. I just kept going and the cop did a u turn then u turned behind me and turned his red lights on and I pulled over. He asked me why I ran the red light so I told him I was having a problem seeing the red light because I drifted a little past the stop line and when he went so did I. He told me he was on a call and had to go thru the red light. I responded that in Florida they had to turn their red lights on when they ran a light. Well he responded WE'RE NOT IN FLORIDA BOY and stomped off to his car and left. I stood there for a few seconds and drove away too.

Yes, Honda dealers in the states are blue and in Canada they are red… notice that years ago.

The Ramsey County, Minnesota Sheriff has a channel here called Live On Patrol. If you watch any of his Friday Night livestreams you'll see him taking advantage of his cherries/sirens multiple times, lol.

The honda logo is red globally, but the US branch of Honda decided to differentiate for tools/equipment (green), motorcycles (red) and cars(blue)!

As a kid, in the small town I grew up in, the local police used to use the lights etc to go collect their Chinese takeaway on a Friday/Saturday night. It was only half a mile from the Police Station and it was a local joke really, no-one minded, made us all smile. We were all on first name terms(mostly) and everyone knew everyone else, everything was more easy going back then.

I have seen a cop in Lethbridge Alberta I was going about 65 in a 70 zone at 11:00 at night I hade green light 63500 kg he came up to red light put on his lights everything went red in front off me slammed my brakes blew my horn drove out in front off me as soon as he was threw he put off his lights I did give him the finger and he did see it 😂 but ya I thought that was a shitty move off him

Red Lights only came on when I had to get somewhere quickly -- i.e. backing up another officer on an serious but not an emergency or "hot" situation requiring lights and siren.

Yeah, that is part of the job that sucks. I wouldn’t be happy about it either but I’d like I would do it but I had I wouldn’t like it but like you said you had to do it to make money.

I think all thru canada its illegal for a cop to use lights and siren just to get ahead of a slower person or to get thru a light id call them in if i seen it just to make sure they r following the law cause if the law dont y do we have to 🤣🤣

It is. I was witness to an accident in Swift Current, SK where an officer used his lights to skip a red light so he can get to Tim Hortons (I know it sounds like a stereotype). The officer hit a man on his bike. The guy later died and the officer was charged with vehicular homicide.
