The reason why front street was a mess, it is because they are building the new bridge from Surrey / New Westminster (The new Pattullo Bridge) and the 2 streets (front and Columbia) both have made the area bad for congestion.

I’ve been catching up on all your videos and they have brought some light into my life during these long stressful days at the hospital. Appreciate all you do and keep it up!

That "stream" at the rest area is the North Thompson River. It joins the South Thompson at Kamloops and then the Thompson River joins the Fraser River at Lytton. You didn't take Hwy One, so you missed that and the most spectacular scenery on any highway in BC.

15:21 hmm what is a dumpbox device... just looked it up : As of Saturday, June 1, 2024, commercial vehicles with dump boxes that can rise above 4.15 metres are required under B.C.'s Motor Vehicle Act Regulations to have in-cab warning devices installed to alert the driver when the dump box is raised. This is probably the result of the numerous bridges that keep getting hit by trucks in the lower mainland. It seems like every few months and we get another bridge impact. Somehow i doubt this will fix it.

there is actually multiple pipelines running alongside of the Coquihalla highway, the latest one is almost finished now, there is also a huge fibre optic line system that runs along the road and I believe a natural gas line as well.
