That 4-foot stretch was perfect for this truck. Such a beauty. I'm glad he got prodded to get that project rolling again and get it done. A big bonus that it was hooked up to that Timpte grain trailer too. Such a beautiful combo.

Troy Link is One of My Best Friends and a Truckin Legend. I've had the pleasure of knowing Him since i was around 3yrs old when he was an Owner Operator For NTB!! He's famously known as Chicken Troy because He loves his Chicken lights on his Trucks and Trailers!!!

As a child, i loved my ERTL toy replica models and there metal Transtar COE toy trucks. I drove a International 9700 COE back for a while. I also drove some International conventionals; but i never got the chance to drive CO4070. I wish i could have. This one is a beauty !

I put a whole lotta miles on a truck like this , many. I had a fleet of different trucks and trailers , and kept them busy on my knees on a big dirt pile left in the back yard from a newly installed septic tank and system. It was awesome for a kid fascinated by trucks since pretty young seeing the Blue Mule jump through that sign , and Dirty Lyle doing the same and landing through a barn in a Chevelle as that little Duck on the hood watched , Breaker Breaker , Hi Ballin , Duel , Movin On , BJ & The Bear , many more I forgot , but not the Legend of that ol Bandit and Cletus. And not sure where Dad got em , but he brought a small stack of them old Truckin Albums , Del Reeves , Willis Brothers , CW McCall , Dave Dudley , Red Simpson , Bobby Bear and more I wore out. All I ever wanted to do but had a new wife and son , little time passed and I was on the road , even an O/Op before quitting . Memories , I miss the trucks and driving , but not a bit of whats happened in trucking the last few years and being gone. I agree , some trucks just need to be original. Everyones running the same hacked up and dolled up mods these days. Some are fine like that to , but be unique , keep original.

That's definitely an Eagle, the non Eagles didn't have the nice dash. Until later years. About 2000. I drove a 2007 9400I it had a nice dash. In the 1970s most were just black. Plain and simple. That is a nice looking truck. I drove too many of those to have fond memories. I remember they were rough, and uncomfortable. The heaters didn't work very well either. Just my opinion and not the opinion of this channel or its supporters. 😊

I like the conflicting perspective. If you listen to all the other viewers, the truck is literally perfect. No vehicle is perfect and its easy to forget that by looking at them from the outside sometimes.

It through nice heat if you had a Cummins or a Cat but if you had a Detroit even with a winter front on not so much after 3 to 4hrs your real cold get up and crank the idle up

@@Rollercoaster555 I drove both Cummins, and 2 stroke Detroits, with winter fronts, the heaters would keep you from freezing, but just barely. I drove 1977, 78, and 80. International Transtar. 1977 Peterbuilt, Kenworth. The heaters would keep you from freezing, but not real comfortable. Yet I drove 1977, Ford WT 9000, and GMC , Astro, they both had much better heaters with both the Cummins and Detroit. Even without a winter front.
