@Xantec Speed is with Reeves and Bullock and takes place on a bus. Your talking about a movie called Duel, with a car being chased by a tanker truck. Awesome movie! It wasnt a Barracuda though (else the tanker wouldnt have had a chance!). It was some 4 door junk, maybe a Dodge Dart. Its been awhile since I watched it. This move is called Convoy. Another great movie.

The song came out 3 years before the movie. The song came out in 1975. The movie came out in 1978. You're right the song is based on a movie that came out three years after the song released.

Nice of you to correct me when you have no clue what you're talking about. You are what 28? Born 1 or 2 years after the movie came out in 1978. It was a movie based on the song written by Chip Davis sung by a guy with the fake name of CW McCall, that was a hit when I was in high school in 1975. The song was such a big hit, they made a movie out of it which was released in 1978. The year I graduated high school.

@AussieMusicRocks your confusing Micheal Bay with all that is American. this is Sam Peckinpaugh directing (Plus whoever directed when he was passed out drunk) this is the same era as great movies like Smokey & the bandit. you didn't start seeing rediculous explosions till the 1980's.
