I miss the long distances road I was on the road for 5 years since 1990 to 1995 then after the accident in 1995 I decide not to be on the long road any more but then in 2007 I will go with my friend witch is a long distan drive then i will jump on bord with him and enjoy the journey with him where ever he must go .And iam also from South African I just love the garden rout one of my favorite routs in South Africa the scenery is the most beautiful scenery on all the routes beside y going to Zimbabwe or Mozambique or to Swaziland but ja things on the long road is not like it use to be like in the 90's the road today is very dangerous and the hijacking is also something you must worried about so pls be safe on the road specially in Johannesburg and Pretoria side . And if you again on the road look for Feb's transport maybe we will meet each other on the road bro . Be safe out there bro

@burundishallsmile1day1095 жыл бұрын
Not at all. is a Freightliner Argosy, maybe a 500 Cummins I guess. Engen Noisy, uncomfortable sitting Bt powerful pulling especially up hills . Trucker's life doesn't matter, most of Trucks in Africa don't have airbags if not all em.

How is salary truck driving in SA? And how does it compare to the avarage salary in SA? Where i live people earn about R53000/month on average for a normal full time trucking job. R60000 for driving garbage trucks. And the average salary for the country is about R65000/month. (So a trucker gets about 81% of the country’s average salary) I have also heard that it is very unsafe driving truck in SA, how do you feel about that? Or do you feel safe doing it?
@mrupsize4 жыл бұрын
Trucking in south africa is not the same its EXTREMELY dangerous ! And i have stop driving truck in 2018 . Im also trying to migrate to a new country . No future here for owner driver :(
@johanfagerstromjarlenfors4 жыл бұрын
@@mrupsize so it is like i’ve heard :\ Very sad. SA seems otherwise to be a very beautiful country and like the most developed african country... to bad it is as dangerous as i hear and read.

@@johanfagerstromjarlenfors i Should probably making videos of how Trucking in south Africa really is :( . We cant even sleep safely at a truck stop Cuz the next morning you wake up your tires will be gone stolen or most of your load is gone . Trucks getting shot at during daylight for no reason . Or getting stoned for no reason just for fun :( . Truck stop bathrooms are disgusting nothing work or everything is stolen . Cant trust police cuz police here are famous for hijacking trucks in South Africa . The truck you see in this video Has been Stoned 2 times last month . Im moving away from this beautiful country cuz i cant do what i love most :( . Have a look at this . 1) truck getting petrol bombed kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZqueYqLi9mEY5Y 2) Truck getting shot in dailight kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5e4gpKVadZ2pKs . Actually need to remove these videos cuz people are getting the wrong idea of trucking in this country .

@@mrupsize Move to europe instead. Preferibly a western or northetn european country since there truckers are quite well paid. I live in Sweden... although i would not really recomend sweden since we have a growing problem with bombings, shootings and other crimes... also a growing rate of ”gang wars” in mostly our high density immigrant and low incomd suburbs. But our neighblours norway, denmark and finland has all the benefits sweden have but with onli like s tiny part of the downsides so those i would recomend. I have thoughts about moving to denmark. Well... the bad things in sweden wouldn’t make anything bad for the trucking but perhaps for your life outside of work. For trucking it is safe. Well... trucker life in europe is not as flashy as in USA or Australia if you have thought about moving to those places... but you will most possibly get a good salary and good healthy working hours (at least in north and western europe)... but not any super flashy truck stops like USA... but still OK 👌 I’m actually currently in the process of starting the education for a Driverlicense ”C” and ”CE” ( heavy truck and heavy truck with heavy wagon). I have studied 1.5 years of a 5 year music teacher education and 0.5 years of a 3 year ”after school care teacher” education on university but i’ve realised that studying is not really for me... even though i love both of those jobs since i have worked as a teacher in those jobs before.... but i can’t handle the university studies even though i get extra help with audio books etc... so at the moment i hope to be able to start a truck education this spring... went to the eye doctor today and he said my eyes was ok for it and on thursday i will take the health check before i can get an ”OK” to start practice... and i don’t know if I will be on the education until next month since they will choose who gets in and not😬 i really hope i get in! I have loved trucks all my life. We have been traveling by car in europe every summer all of my life since we have a summer house in spain. So i have seen all those trucks on the motorway through denmark, germany, lucembourg, france and spain and always thought they were so cool... and when i was like 5-6 yo my dream was to drive the waste collection trucks so i might end up there after all actually😅
