Well Mountain Man Mike, thanks for the ride along on USHwy 50 in Nevada again. I've always loved that highway and I was surprised to see so much traffic in the area too, but it could be some late travelers getting it in before winter starts up. I think you looking for a Jeep is a great ideal, mainly during the winter months and fishing trips. Glad to hear your youngest son is doing great and when you chat with him, please tell him that I am proud of him and thank him for his service so far too and keep up the great work! Happy trucking trails and always stay safe!

I agree with your policy of always checking out the road and surroundings. I especially keep an eye out for the police cruisers hiding by the side of a road around some corner. It used to be easy to spot the blue domes way ahead, but most of the domes have now been replaced with a low profile flat light. They further hide the light inside those roof racks that come with the 4-Runner Toyotas (the police vehicle of choice in 4-wheel country in Hawaii's Big Island). I now have to slow down if I see any newer 4-Runner way ahead. They love to give out tickets over here to fill their quotas. I enjoy watching your videos.

So happy to see you are making more videos. I recently found your channel and have been binge watching as many of your older videos that I can find. I am with you on some drivers. The ones that pass you, then slow down, speed up, and won't maintain a steady speed when conditions are great. I always set my cruise control on my van to get the gas mileage possible, so I really get irritated when an accordion (as my husband would call them) speed up and slow down continuously. My hub and I are the same way, we try to have patience but eventually floor it to get around them and leave them as far behind as possible. I had never heard of Highway 50 until now. I really like it and will plan a road trip. Thank you for sharing your trips with us. Stay safe out there!!!

Wow, the last time I saw Ely, Nevada was in June 2019 when I was moving back to Arizona. Shopko had closed down during that time and in this video, it shows it is now Cal-Ranch. I could say alot but thanks for posting this video. The road that went to my work place is right past where those cows are at. We finished the construction project at one of the mines out there last year. Good to see Ely again..👍🇺🇸

Love the Yellow Banana, Matt, Ed and now Lizzy too! I just did the Highway 50 drive coming home from Denver area on Monday. I much prefer that route (50 and I-70) over I-80. It did take me longer than the 58 minutes you did in this video! :) One note to truck drivers and more so, big RV drivers: if there is a car behind you move to the right side of the lane when it is clear to pass. So many hug the center line making it hard to see around them. XJ's are awesome! They are cheap to buy, cheap and easy to modify and the 4.0 is bulletproof.

Hi! I was wondering if you were ill again. The intervals between your videos have been too long lately. Another vote here for you to do them more frequently. Some videos through the windscreen of your Cadillac would be cool too. I have a Z06 that my wife and myself have done some traveling in and it's a great way to make long distance trips too. We've had interesting experiences traveling in a Vette. I also did cross-country in a '37 Chevy coupe street rod. That blew people's mind on the highway passing cars at 80+ mph with NJ plates on the bumper. Happy motoring!
