Dude, you can use truckers path for truck parking without having to pay the monthly premium fee. I use it for finding places to park and my gps for routing.

Do it now, or at least start the process while it's still relatively warm out. This way? You at least have some in the fuel filter and the tanks. You don't want to go flatbed division. I've worked for companies that ran vans, flatbeds and reefers. Nothing like trying to tarp in a howling 20 degree wind or trying to fold those babies when it's 12 degrees out. The hood mirrors start repeatedly falling due to an inner mechanism failure, my old freightliner did that a few times it should be covered by warranty if u let em know quick

Make sure you get winter wipers tho, the ones that are silicone blades without the metal showing. And if you have an APu there's no need for antigel really bud. The APu should keep your fuel at or above 42° either via a fuel return line which they all have or the addition of a fuel heating system if prime specs the winter weather package (they usually do)

Yooo Rex! You are one of the people that inspired me to be a trucker but if I’m completely honest with you MY JOURNEY SO FAR HAS BEEN TERRIBLE!!!! Omg 😔 the company I work for helped me get my CDL and I had to be out on the road with a trainer for 3 weeks or so first trainer dude was a bi*ch he NOT ONES! Showered and was forcing me to drive above the speed limit so I asked for a different trainer and she’s ehhh she has a lot of mood swings she loves to run her mouth and I’m a guy that is always alone and I like it that way look I need to vent to a old head or a veteran trucker because low key I wanna quit I busted my ass to get my CDL and the company sucks but I can’t leave for 6 months 😔 what should I do? Any other truckers out here that read this please give me some advice?

I think you need both. The garmin will bring you on actual truck routes… I find that TP will bring me the shortest route; not necessarily the *best* route. 🤣

If you do a lease purchase with Prime, what’s the oldest truck (model year) they allow on the road? Seems like all I see for the most part on the roads are current body style trucks. Hopefully this question makes sense.

As long as you're bringing home $2,500.00 or a bit more or a smidge less and home just about every night? I'd run with IT! You've got a family, just moved last month. Are you making enough money? A little left over to stuff in the mattress? Yeah, I'm 62. Enjoy it. The week long work is going to be here soon enough. And the REAL Winter weather where you are going to layover whether you want to or not. We seldom did. BUT, we could toss the log book on the bunk and drive all night 25-30 miles a hour and keep trying. Oh yeah, it was terrific. Different world now. This is your world and it's fine! You have a APU and fridge and food. Blankets. Safe travels and embrace the ""almost local "" regional way of life.

You can if you itemize your taxes at the end of the year, but usually as a company driver the standard deduction will be more than what your itemized deductions would be, keep all receipts and have them figured both ways at the end of the year and see which is better
