If your thinking of coming to Prime Inc or want to get your CDL license. I honestly believe Prime is a solid company to start your trucking journey. Make sure when you fill out the online application @ www.primeinc.com put my driver code STREXA on page 2 of the application when it ask who referred you. Thanks for watching my video 😃

First, very impressive video, I have been a owner operator and a company driver, made money with both. Making money with leasing is easy, you only need to do one thing, work. You nailed it with money management and doing what you can to maintain your truck. You have the right attitude about life, many travel many years trying to find what you already know. You are my hero. Thank you for the access.

Just finished my first week of training, pulling for prime. I feel super good about the way prime handles their business for the drivers, and am excited to be moving forward with them. Can't wait to get my own truck leased and get to rolling! Keep up the good work hustle, and the good videos bro. Hope to meet you out there sometime.

Glad they treating you good over there. I completed a 4 year lease with prime and in my 4 years there I never once took home over 2k a week 4 weeks in a row when I was at prime. When it comes to trucking I feel like it's more about consistency of money which I just couldn't seem to find there but everybody can't be successful everywhere, I found my lane, glad it seems like tou found yours.

I’ve heard lots of people claim Prime is a scam because of how much they charge for the trucks. And yes it is a lot, but consider that you are getting a truck with no credit and no money down (if you don’t order extras) for a regular lease. Also most people are making more money a year than they could at home. So what’s wrong with a deal where both parties make money? The concept these people have that corporations shouldn’t make a profit is illogical. I am a rookie here (flatbed) and started out company. I switched to lease after a few months and have already made more after expenses than I did as a company driver. So to me personally it’s been a good deal so far. There’s my unsolicited opinion.

Why is it a bad company vs other companies? I'm not a CDL driver but have been looking into and trying to do my research. Is Yellow any good? Schneider? Looking for my best learning experience to get my end goal of regional or local where I can be home and still make 60k if possible. Also how many hours a day do most put in? Anyone figure out your hourly wage? Seen some have cents per mile, percentage, flatbed have their own addons(was thinking of that as I see many ads for them). Also see other content creators saying freight rates are not good.

Or what if you decide to get your own truck but not through your carrier. Say you want an old tractor.. maybe they're not as good for fuel mileage. Seen some carrier jobs where they want manual drivers.

Quick fyi.. if you did want to go lease/purchase you can get easy funding for the $14k down payment thru either "peer to peer" lending or nerdwallet. I've gotten 2 loans from peer to peer and 1 from nerdwallet. All three were funded within one week. Do your due diligence but I thought I'd pass those on if you wanted $$$ for the down payment.

How much do you pay on fuel …. How much … on maintenance…. How much do you make a week … who’s responsible for beakdown … how many miles per day …? Is there a walk away lease … meaning the driver can walk away at anytime .. with no bad credit.. how much is your expenses per month typically on a slow month how much can you make .. does the company keep you close to your terminal and pick up or consign. Aka the shipper or drop off becuz you have a tanker liquid .. do they have you drive short miles with stops or expect you to drive long hauls

First let me say that I love your videos. I'm going to be getting my CDL-A soon and I found your channel while looking at my options for companies as a new driver needing experience and was really excited and set on Prime tanker division because of both your and John Ogren's videos. Then I found out about their TNT training approach and I just can't wrap my head around it. 4+ months of team driving while my "trainer" is asleep in the bunk? That's ridiculous. How do they expect me to learn anything if the person that's supposed to teach me is asleep? How do they expect me to get enough sleep to be a safe driver if I'm bouncing around in a bunk because it's my trainers turn to drive? I just don't get it. I still plan on signing up with Prime tanker and using your code, but it looks like I'll need to do time with another company that will actually train me first and then switch over. I really wish someone higher up in Prime would look at this program and make some changes because if it weren't for TNT it would be a perfect company to start with.

Is this your average tho every week? Bc larger paychecks do happen when u have a load that rolls over But I'd be willing to bet your actual "Net after taxes and deductions" is probably 3k Which is within reach of a seasoned company driver as well. Without being 1099. Keep in mind being 1099 means you pay more taxes as well as having to deduct the taxes yourself, it means you don't get workers comp if your injured on the job bc your an independent contractor, you also don't get the same insurance benefits as a W2 employee of they are even offered to a 1099. So your paying more in all these categories and risking months of non payment if u get injured for a maybe a 15-20% raise. It's not worth it unless your making a 50-75% more than a W2 like me. I'm averaging 2200 a week as a reefer driver W2 company. You could do heavy haul or specialized as a company guy and make 3-4k a month And oilfield work for 4-5k a month w2. Not to me tion the fact that these leases are patwntly illegal according to the IRS And will be cracked down on in the coming years. You cannot be labeled 1099 if your not free to take the truck to Schneider on Monday and Amazon on Tuesday b4 coming back to haul for prime on Wednesday. That's owr IRS and Fmcsa

If the truck dosen't follow you home if you quit, it ain't worth it. Just paying for the privilege to drive a company spec truck. Money is "good" to keep you hooked in the beginning. Then it starts to trail off, but you're now too invested to give up, so you keep going. Now you're basically a company driver with extra headaches.
