Sorry if this seems rude, but as someone who has an excess of two million miles prior to their retirement from the trucking industry. And had been envolved over the many year's in pulling various trailer's, some of which were tanks. It is part of the mandated pretrip to make sure every thing is opertable on both the tractor and various trailer's meaning types prior to hualing it. Had you done a proper pretrip, you would have noticed the missing elbow and wouldn't have found yourself in the position you did.
@truckingwithrex2 жыл бұрын
Your not being rude, just fyi this trailer i picked up was preloaded and already sealed at the shipper before i dropped my empty clean. So you know i cannot break the seals prior to arrival to the receiver. Primes tank wash guys or the driver who dropped this should have recognized this.

why did you not notice it when you checked the trailer b4 hooking up to it.?
@truckingwithrex2 жыл бұрын
Outside cabinet was sealed by shipper after trailer was loaded (this was a drop and hook) we can’t break the seals. That has to be done by the receiver. The driver who dropped this empty trailer to get loaded should’ve spotted this but didn’t.
@williampockoski5029 Жыл бұрын
It’s disappointing how an error on one person part affects others down the line. With the elbow on the other truck missing does Prime become reactive or proactive. I’ll bet reactive, now the other driver loses time, losing time is the most valuable item you own. You do a really great job moving product. Showing things 4 wheelers do not understand. Stay safe. Keep the shinny side up.

Always!! You can't break the cabinet seals after the shipper loads it.. the receiver breaks them when i arrive just fyi. The shipper was a drop and hook

Hmm was it not part of your job to make sure you have what you need to do your offload?. Sure, someone before you can but thats not the same as just saying you messed up to. Lol.. i drove reefer locally and it was the yard jockeys job to fill tanks. I always checked behind them.. i will say i bet you never make that error again now..
@mura-moto Жыл бұрын
As Rex says at the start of the video: when he hooked up to it, the seals were already in place, so he can’t break those seals until he gets to the receiver, snd they give the okay to break em.

Why wouldn't You go grab an Elbow off of 1 of the other trailers sitting there on the lot And since you're talking about CDL people aren't known what's going on especially dispatchers a good cd. I'll drive will have thought of that instead of driving all that distance

A heads up… Drivers are not allowed to break the seals on the back of tankers. This has to be done by the receiver you can’t just break the seals on the cabinet. Clearly you don’t know anything about tanker
