Sounds like the Aussie plan is moving quickly. Another vlogger did that same delivery as you did with the curtainsider (he had a flatbed) last year and that lane looks a lot cleaner now, it's still disgusting when people dump shit and we get it a lot on the rural roads up here. Oh and the other vlogger had to get the flatbed moved too, it tickled me when I saw it in the same place lol.

Yeah it's a s#!thole down there, but doesn't help when the tips around our areas ask for 50 permits to chuck anything now. Lol

So many people slag your job off. Do you think it’s justified? It’s seems like a boring a monotonous job. However the pay is not bad.

Yeah it's not bad however I think the problem is the amount of hours you have to put in compared to most jobs it then doesn't look so great, but I love the job so I try stay positive about it.

@@truckitprayle yeah there’s that too. But I think if your young enough and don’t have family commitments it’s something you can thrive in. That’s why I want to get into it. I like working long hours and preferably a Saturday on top as well. I just need to get my license and i imagine it will take months for someone to take me on even at poor pay. but like like you said once you get your experience the world is your oyster in that role. Seems worth it to me.

Aware of the big change from Flexi hours to long days hauling but the extra income available really is appealing, almost doubling what me and my mrs are budgeting by on at the minute with our baby son. I know family time on the daily is sacrificed but the reduced financial stress and ability to have an actual holiday on annual leave might offset it 😂 what's your opinion as a dad who's been in the trade a while?

It's not easy for me to say l, everyone's values are different, if you don't mind putting in the hours and being away for your family to have a better life (without you being there) but also you don't have to do the long hours at every company and also it's not forever.
