The prismatic powders are owned by Cerakote. U know that's top quality coating. It looks so so so damn good and they develop new colors constantly. When u got the time and knowledge to over-protect every nut, bolt, nook and cranny, that end result is priceless. A truck certainly can be restored to BETTER than the day it rolled off the assembly line. I think it would be awesome to make a living doing this too. The deal breaker is trying to source all the original parts. It's just a tedious process with zero guarantees. But once u track down all the components it's off to the races

Hey Earl, whats the big draw to a shorty? People seem to love them, i try to but just dont get it?? I went other way for functional purposes, took our mint low mileage 2012 LML CCSB to 13 CCLB dually chassis/ bed swap. Toy haulers are heavy. Short beds would ride choppy in comparison, not really any mpg 2 be gained? Maybe from a utilitarian standpoint i have a closed mind

Love your videos. I purchased my first diesel. In doing so I've been able to watch your videos to calm most of my concerns but one. It's an 04 Duramax with 210,000 miles. Injectors were changed at 115,000 miles. My concern is from 55mph to 60mph it has what I can only explain is a low vibration. All gears shift great other than that shimmy. I guess I'm also concerned about black smoke when I give it the "beans" alittle. A little more back ground it came from an older man who only used it for camping but he was the second owner. My son thinks it might have a tune from the original owner and that's why it has smoke. Or maybe it's just the way it is. If you have any thoughts I'm open to ideas. Thanks and keep up the great content.
@MarinaraTrackDays2 жыл бұрын
some small amount of coal when you roll into throttle is completely normal. That shimmy happens with me too if im on the highway @ 1000-1250 ish RPM. Whole truck shakes when i accelerate through that really low RPM range but not anywhere else. I don't know what that is but I do have something like that.
