Regardless of who the new liberal leader is, Canadians should NEVER forget that every one of them supported Trudeau in everyone of the non-confidence votes and as such every one of them should be defeated in the next election.

Pierre keeps talking about govt wastes, bloated beauracracies, cutting costs, then why doesn’t he start with himself and his Conservative MPs? Pierre makes $300,000/year. The average Canadian household makes $65,000/year. Let’s just reduce his salary to half at $150,000/year. He will still be ahead of the average Canadian family, twice over, so he should be ok with this.

Nathaniel Erskine Smith is by far one of the most exciting Liberal members. There's never going to be a chance for him to ever get consideration, but look up his voting record. He has voted consistently against the "party line" to uphold the values of his constituents, was vocal about voting reform and has the integrity that is sorely lacking in Parliament. I would be such a proud Canadian if someone like him could lead and become PM

Yes. A new leader for the Liberals is a relief to the many people who strongly oppose Poilievre and the Conservatives and also those who have given up on NDP post Jack Layton. Mark Carney would be a great leader and I think the fact that he isn't your typical politician would work in his favour. Many people find "charisma" exhausting. Think happy socks, boisterous voice, fake smile, not so clever nick names and passive aggressive jabs. Too much of this has gone on in the House of Commons and it's time for some grown up discussions.
