a good message, and appreciate the spirit of it, however, Jesus/Yeshua was not born on 25 th December, and I don’t believe Christians should be celebrating The Birth of The Saviour of the world, according to the pagan calendar. Also, it was The Israelites who were under the Law, not the gentiles, or predominantly gentile church, The devil, as they say is in the detail. Let’s pull out the rod from our own eyes, honour the Scripture rather than man’s traditions, and then maybe, the world will take us seriously. Love in Him!

Why is it the case more so now than before that when referencing the debacle in the Garden of Eden that clergy and biblical commentators predominately mention Adam only when it came to being tricked by the devil with regard to eating from the tree of knowledge? Was it not Eve who was tricked by the serpent and ate the forbidden fruit first and then in turn convinced Adam to do the same? Does this not obfuscate the truth?
@davidstidolph4472Күн бұрын
Eve was decided Adam went ahead with knowing what he was doing. Therefore Adam takes the blame
@PennySmartКүн бұрын
I see your point. Adam was the head of Eve, which is why he is often only mentioned. In the fall, man and woman roles were reversed. Eve, instead of submitting to Adam's leadership takes the initiative while Adam instead of leading Eve follows her. Paul discusses this in depth in one of the Corinthians letters. A warning for our "feminist" age in my opinion. Women can do (almost) everything men do but is it good for them and for men, is it wise for the culture?
@reformationboy12 сағат бұрын
Christians have been making this point for 2000 years. Romans 5:14 "Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come." 1 Corinthians 15+ "For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive... So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven. As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly. Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we will also bear the image of the heavenly." We followers of Jesus imitate the way Jesus quotes the Bible as the authoritative Word of God.

Jesus wasn't born in December middle of winter with snow everywhere. Jesus was born end September or early October. Jesus died in April at 33.5 years old which makes him born September October
@dianacarr5515Күн бұрын
I have actually studied this ... and there is "credible" evidence for both a December and a Fall birthday. One has to ask ... why didn't God just tell us, as he did with so many other things that he details with such exactness? Does it matter? Think about it. Once a year the entire world celebrates the greatest gift we've given to man. Children and adults everywhere can recount in great detail this events that happened on this sacred holy night. Millions will overlook the significance, but for some (many) this season will bring them home where they really belong. For many, seeds are being planted that will be watered and nutured for sometimes years ... and suddenly life will sprout forth. For most, however insignificant, there is an acknowledgment of this truth. Jesus was born God, out of his great love for you and me, sent His son to deliver us from Satan's hand and redeem us ... we are the adulterous ones in Hosea giving ourselves in slavery and prostitution to Satan. God sent Jesus as a ransome/a sacrifice to buy us back and give us legal authority to belong in God's family. Now, one has to wonder ... who would want to stop that message or distract from that? What is the purpose of the dissention? Could it be that Satan is using well-meaning Christians to bring about division and distraction and maybe even the canceling of Christmas? I think maybe so. The bottom line is ... there are credible evidences for both dates (fall & December) but neither is conclusive. What matters more ... that we bicker over a date or that we acknowledge this precious gift? My conclusion after much study is this ... I think God DELIGHTS when he sees the faces of his children celebrating the birth of Jesus and is saddened when well-intentioned children of God bring distraction and division and doubt. I don't know, maybe I am wrong, but I think it's worth pondering .... why is the date so important to me when apparently it wasn't that important to God. What really matters at Christmas? Celebrating this birth with ALL of our heart and letting nothing creep in to destroy even a tiny bit of our joy, savoring the treasure of this special holiday. I have often wondered ...
