You made us cry!! We are Red Cross Disaster Nurses doing what the Red Cross does. We will surely be careful but we won't stop. What keeps us going? The smiling, shining faces of our clients and people like you. How very beautiful you all are. A rainbow of joy. We will get through this disaster. And the next one. And the next. We will drink the joy that folks like you serve up and keep going. Thank you so very much. Peter A Poccia, RN, Disaster Health Services, American Red Cross. (give blood; the Red Cross is desperate)

Thank you for doing this. My 6yo non-verbal autistic son has been trying to sing along with you all, even sitting next to the TV to pretend he is among you. It has helped a lot in his development of speech. I just wanted to let you know that your work, and a few other similar choirs, have helped a disabled child.
@Sandra-fc8pc4 жыл бұрын
Wow, that is cool. My son is non verbal autistic too. I will have to try to see how he reacts. How do you work with his speech? Is it ABA? No therapist in the town I live in, Sweden, has introduced me to speech training. We are supposed to get the help for free, but I guess they just do not want to give it to us. Thank you! Lots of love to you!

Mountain Mage Your comment made me cry! How amazing to envisage this child being so motivated to belong that he is standing next to the TV pretending he is among them. I really needed this. I’m not a doctor or anything like that (I’m just a kid) and I don’t have some cool story like a lot of you but I was really moved by this. This pandemic has been really hard on me (like many others). This was my last year at the school I’ve gone to for 9 years and I certainly didn’t want it to end like this. But, it is what it is, and I know God has a plan for this. Stay safe and keep hope!!! Love you all💕

The Universal language of sound going out on the airwaves, heart to heart, melding into the spaces that need nourishment, healing and joining us as one. Without the distractions of daily, we are feeling the connection to each other more deeply than ever before. Let the colours of the rainbow shine, let us put down our differences and forgive one another......do we have the luxury any longer to hold the negative? And that's why I love you, your true colours, are beautiful.......

There're people among us that that are injured but you may not be able to see their injury. The injury may be very deep, from long ago, still raw, an open wound, bleeding. Our job is to heal that wound. No, the scar will never go away but it will fade, getting lighter and lighter, until they can see beyond their own pain - very hard to do when you have an open wound - and they can again hear the song of the world around them. I know from whence I speak; I began my "nursing" career in the rice patties of Viêt-Nam. I came home angry, bitter, bleeding. But caring people would have none of it; they healed me. I'm just returning the favor.

What a perfect song for these scary and dark times. Yes, America is built on true colors and it takes all of us, of all colors, religions, orientations from nations all over the globe who came here to be included in our American family. As the song says, if we show our true colors, as those on the front lines of this plague are doing daily, we'll come through this together. I'm an old man but I don't fear for the future of our great land with so many talented and smart young people coming together. I suspect they'll do a better job than my generation did and I'm hoping that's true. Thanks for lending your amazing voices to this. May peace always be your companion.

This song, spectacularly performed, ties in well as another tribute to the dedicated people on the front line. They’re making it possible to maintain our existence and diligently work toward being able to safely manage this health crisis. Through the entire spectrum of their personalities and individual characters they uniquely are, they collectively demonstrate their true colors ... this unique relationship stems from the mutuality and equality of each involved individual. Tens of thousands of “front line” people are currently demonstrating their true colors. We're immensely thankful for that. Now, who do we become through all of this? Think about the opportunity afforded to all of us to 'reset' our values, our true colors going forward.
