Can i install on a concrete slab (existing)? Can I insulate the concrete first (with blue board foam or ??). I am concerned about thermal efficiency on cold concrete.

Does this product last forever because taking up a floor such as tile would be very expensive so this needs to last forever.How would you test each section after it is installed and floor is over it? What if a section was not working?

www.truecomfortsystems.com/en/products/heating-cable Website says there's a 25 years warranty. For repairs they have a technique to detect the fault. It does require to break a tile to get there but you don't have to re-do the whole floor.
