When they explained his story what was their attitude towards his HBO interviews? I would assume since FBI Agent Smith, detective Mccabe NYPD and NJ Special Agent Prolifone, who arrested him, have all stated early on he was a pathological liar who didn't commit 95% of his claims, that people in the courts found it amusing HBO went solely on Kuklinski's word.
