There’s no way that they had the same bag, her demeanor changed while talking to a mysterious man, and then she walked out of the room saying the best of luck to you. She probably was also dating Roy and this was a quick way to get rid of her. He didn’t want to be with that woman no more and used this as a chance to get her locked up with drugs while also transporting drugs through Laura. He got the best of both situations at that time.

This is so crazy and sad. If I was her when he sent that money for a flight to Paris, I would have left that bag right there and flew home, called the cops immediately to go retrieve my daughter safely and dealt with the consequences in the states. Even if she was sacred of going to jail, I’d rather go to jail in the states than in Cuba. This whole story was wild. I wonder if the customs people knew that Laura also had drugs but let it go. Like if it was sent up. Because I’ve heard some of these drug traffickers have it sent up where one person gets through and the other one with less drugs gets caught. The customs people are paid off and they still get an arrest while the dealer gets the bigger portion of the drugs through. Maybe Laura knew that’s what was going to happen and felt bad and tried to warn her to take the other flight but she just didn’t tell her the reason. Just a thought. But I think it would be weird for customs to pull Khalilahs (sp?) bag but not the other IDENTICAL bag. That just doesn’t make sense. Also recommendation: Tanya Kach story. Girl is held captive by her middle school security guard for like 10 years. Crazy story.

Then more money in hand, a week without hearing from him, and STILL didn’t book a flight home? I don’t like to victim blame…but this girl has to be the most dumb of all the stories I’ve heard. She had multiple times to save herself and her baby. And she didn’t. And what’s worse is I think HE KNEW she wouldn’t.

Nope. I would have popped that bag into a dumpster and told him I was bringing it. I would have kept taking his money too. Then I would have claimed someone ripped it out of my hand on the way to the airport. How is he going to know?

There are so many ways to get out of this situation which is why I'm thinking she was a willing participant. She deserved those 6 years. I'm not buying her ignorance.

@@sarasilly I certainly get your reasonable perspective, but I can’t damn her so quickly. Because he had her little girl in his grasp. I have two daughters and I would do anything to protect them. So we have to consider that she was really scared for her child.
