If you’ve never watched True Detective, I highly recommend it. Season 1 is hands down perfect in my opinion. Thanks for watching!

The first season of True Detective was a masterpiece. It actually inspired my first trip to NOLA and a love affair with Louisiana in general. Thankful I came across this today!

The last time you took us through the fort part of it was flooded. Thanks for going through again.I don't have television so I haven't seen True Detective. Have a fantastic weekend, Deej❤

The flooded one was a different fort actually, Fort Pike had the water in it. This one thankfully did not, lol

Me and a couple friends went in there and explored around 15 years ago. It was overgrown then just like it was in True Detective. It's earie every time I see that place pop up in a movie or show it's been in quite a few. Cool place to explore. Note, when you first got into the main door, if you turn to the right, there is a powder room back there with scars of an explosion on the wall. Supposedly back in the day a cannister of powder lit off and killed a soldier in there. Just some folklore I heard somewhere but the scars on the wall in there are gnarly

That's a great looking place! I'm wondering if you've heard about Fort Proctor which is sort of in the area. That was abandoned before it was finished, I think. Might make a great place to look over. I think it's always flooded inside, though.

Hah yeah unfortunately I lost my drone out by fort proctor. Too windy for it to return home lol! That one is down by shell beach, you might be thinking of Fort Pike which is near Fort Macomb.
@griffinmatter28539 ай бұрын
@@NOLADEEJ Oh, that sucks. Yes, I know both Fort Pike and Fort Proctor. I've never heard of Fort Macomb until your video, though. I just meant they were all sort of in the area of each other. 🙂
