Awesome video. I talked to Maegan on phone and she walked me through on setting the remote control and converting the Celsius to Fahrenheit in a couple of easy steps she was very professional and I would advice anyone to call their supply house for any questions. Highly Recommendations. Thanks Maegan!

Good video…love the views of both sides. Easiest video to understand from all I’ve watched. From what I know you aren’t supposed to crank down really tight on the flare fitting because you will crack them. This is true for the vacuum pump too because there is a plastic o ring that gets hyper compressed and ruined if tightened too much. Also the coils need to be coiled horizontally as to not allow a build up of oil in the loops. Great vid
@MiniSplitSupplyHouse11 күн бұрын
Glad it was helpful, the oil trap has been disproved by engineers, I don’t have the link available now but I will look for it. We coil the excess lines vertically with no issues.

We always discourage installing before the space is complete! The horrors we’ve seen from careless installs or people not understanding the equipment the way we’ve dedicated ourselves to is haunting 😥

Excellent video. Thanks. Only one question, for clarification.... did you start the unit BEFORE you released the refrigerant? Wouldn't that build up an awful amount of head pressure in it, or is this a more-sophisticated compressor than the old 1990s dinosaurs using R22 that I've monkeyed with in the past?
@MiniSplitSupplyHouseАй бұрын
We do make sure they power up before we release the refrigerant into the system, you can call Dustin 480-338-6197 for a better explanation on why we do this 🙂
@redneckpackratАй бұрын
@@MiniSplitSupplyHouse I did just that earlier this evening, and Dustin did an excellent job of describing his process and reasoning for it. I'll be doing it that way when my adapter shows up and I can evacuate the lines and evaporator! Sure wish I'd come across this vid before making my purchase, it'd've definitely been made through y'all if at all possible!

Great Video! I am considering installing one of these in an RV. I was trying to see on the video, is it possible to run the lines and drain tube out the side of the head unit instead of the back as long as the drain tube is at an downward angle? I would like to run the lines inside the coach and out through the floor to the compressor which would be mounted on a stand in front of the trailer. The lines would run under the trailer and thus not seen until they come up to the compressor.

Hello, this video was made July 2022 we’ve learned a lot since then, pulling a vacuum like this is not a true leak test! We do require our customers follow this step to clear the indoor unit and lines of any air, moisture, potential contaminants that can affect the outdoor unit. You can always reach out if you have additional questions 480-338-6197 Dustin 573-410-2769 Megan MINI SPLIT SUPPLY ROLLA MISSOURI

Thinking about purchasing two of these and wondering what outside temp will it work down to in winter weather and still heat inside? Thanks
@MiniSplitSupplyHouseАй бұрын
We’ve found they will still produce heat at negative temperatures, they lose their BTU output the colder it gets so we size for the heat load at cold temps not the AC
@SetitesTechAdventuresАй бұрын
So this unit gets power from a plug indoors instead of outdoors? Is that the case for the NG too?
@MiniSplitSupplyHouseАй бұрын
The Confortotal is indoor only the NG is not like that, it is opposite power at the compressor only via disconnect

Do you have any videos on the comfortotal 220v installation?
@MiniSplitSupplyHouseАй бұрын
We do not the install process is the same for all Confortotal unless you have a F MODEL 24000 those are designed to have outdoor power 480-388-6197 Dustin for tech support

I have a confortotal that won’t cool was freezing and another one that blows cool but not cold. Been trying to get the contractor that installed them to come out for months. Would you say it’s probably Freon leak
@meganrunyon44982 ай бұрын
Yes that’s been our experience. 9 times out of 10 it is a Freon leak with the issues you’ve mentioned. what state are you located in?

One thing I missed or it wasn't shown in your video your head unit had a power cord attached? Did you attach that, or did it come with that? Now I am confused, I just bought an Everwell mini split (very similar to the one in your video) and the electrical cover on the condenser has two holes in for power/signal cables, so I was assuming that I had to have an electrician to hook me up some outside power for the condenser unit. It is a 110v system, the handbook that came with it is worthless, that is why I have been watching so many you tube videos. Can someone help with this? Thanks.
@MiniSplitSupplyHouse2 ай бұрын
Hi Ernest, I’m glad you found us. This unit comes with the power cord from the air handler that’s why people call them “DIY” Your Everwell most likely needs power at the compressor - Megan Mini Split Supply 573-410-2769

Do you have a unit that I can plug into the inside outlet that has a longer line set? I would like to do a second floor installation.
@MiniSplitSupplyHouseАй бұрын
Hi Casey all Confortotal come with 12’ Lineset kits, when you need longer lines we recommend getting them from a supply house. The units are Precharged up to 25’ if you plan to go longer it is most likely you’ll need it charged for the added length for optimal performance.

Is this unit powered inside through the header (wall plug)? Sorry, looking for an option where I have a full circuit breaker already.
@MiniSplitSupplyHouse11 күн бұрын
Yes it is, no exterior power is needed. We have higher efficiency units available that require the disconnect at the outdoor only minisplitsupplyhouse.com/collections/ngtrade-mini-splits

I have a question... I installed one in my house and I followed all the steps in the manual and the video as well and my compressor only turned on for a few minutes and the fan only turned on when I put it in fan mode. Do you know why is that happening
@MiniSplitSupplyHouseАй бұрын
There could be many reasons What is the temperature set at, try turning it all the way down in AC mode and letting it run If it is at temp it will not think it needs to kick on

Where's the fuse located?
@davidhankins57082 ай бұрын
No fuse. IT is a 110 volt plug in unit. Inside handler plugs into wall outlet and provides power to outside compressor.

David is right! If your local codes require a disconnect you can feed the power cord out with the Lineset and wire it that way

This is an invalid training video. It doesn't show pressure test prior to vacuum. Sustaining vacuum does not guarantee a tiny leak is not present.
@MiniSplitSupplyHouse11 күн бұрын
You’re right, we made a comment clarifying that this is not a true leak test, this is a good enough vacuum to clear the lines for us to guarantee your warranty when you shop direct with us 🙂

This 110V confortotal systems is designed to be wired to a quick disconnect outside by the compressor, right? I noticed you used a plug-in cord that looked like it was connected to the head unit. I don't want that I just need to make sure that is not how this system works before I buy it.
