Never be a time in history like we lived through in the late 80s early 90s By 1992 the original scene was dead and buried. The goverment and the on set of Cocaine destroyed the movement. From 1987-1991we lived the dream. New music and Ecstacy liberated our souls. We we free. We hugged and danced. We shunned our old beilfs and musical tastes. Its sad now how the social media fiends think they are having a good time. They just don't know. How could they. If you wasn't there you can never know.
@Mardyfella5 жыл бұрын
full effect Yeah. Agreed, rave was dead by 92. Then became some other things but it just wasn’t the same when the scene split and hardcore went one way and the Basics scene went the other. Glad I was there.

Grew up on Streetsounds Electro. Left school in 1987 and the next four or five years were INCREDIBLE if you were a music nut like me. People forget that the whole scene from DJ's, promoters etc were teenagers, and young adults. That whole generation were essentially left for dead by the establishment, but just like the forgotten slum kids in 70's New York who created Hip Hop culture before and the Chicago/Detroit kids with their illegal warehouse parties, WE took inspiration from them and joined together to build something that nourished our souls. A special moment in time that is so needed again with the way the world is going. One Love ❤🎧

Gone but never forgotten. 89-92 aka acid speed ecstasy era. Sweaty clubs, total individuality, zilch trends. Services, convoys, warehouses. The absolute best soundtrack, and diary log of my life, never to be relived. Once in a life time. Take me away, to the past ❤️ it evolved, and is still there, but rare be that feeling. I agree 90 to 92 for me, I know everyone thinks their time was the best but I truly believe these were the best years, it was still relatively underground the cheesy quavers had not yet shown up! After 92 everyone and their dog was at it, the music had got harder and faster, criminal gangs had woke up to the money that could be made so the pills got shit, one of the best clubs we used to go to was Shelley’s in stoke, went after an absence of a year, everything had changed, pills were shit that lived up atmosphere had disappeared. Just felt like the best of times were gone!

Totally agree, 87-91 was the time of smiley faces, bandanas, pure mdma, sweat rung jeans at 6 am, shoom on a Thursday with rampling. Then all the food was monged up with H, horrible hard core dark music and a nasty coke fuelled era took over. Anyone there in 89/90 knows the score. And these tunes rip a dance floor 30 years later.

God I love this tune.The one thing that keeps me going through the shit of 2021 is that I lived several lifetimes worth of amazing times,amazing drugs and some stunning women. and a soundtrack to keep yo up for days.

Thanks,I still love it too. I remember the energy and the heat. Praying that I could finish and drive from Pearl Studio in Canton Mi to down town Detroit at a club call On Stage to do my gig.

Wow, thanks for your comment Bridgett :-) Your voice took me to many places back in the day. This track has withstood the test of time, still sounds awesome on a good sound set up.

Bridgett Grace I swear to god this is one of the best dance records ever pressed to vinyl. And I discovered it from your sample in a Prodigy track which lead me here, phenomenal tune, they honestly don't make them like this any more.
