Jamie Lee Curtis really did accidentally lose her grip on the bedpost and fall. Luckily, Arnold's reaction is perfectly in character with Harry first worried she's hurt and then scrambling to get back in position, so they were able to put the shot in.

Why are pilots risking their careers by admitting there is no earth curve? Over 44 NASA, Government and military documents assume earth is flat and non-rotating. The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics says outerspace is fake; you can't have gas pressure next to a vacuum. You can collect $200,000 if you prove earth spin or curve. No one has ever proved this because there is no curve. Emergency flight paths make no sense on a globe and make perfect sense on a flat earth. NASA uses green screens and CGI to fool people into their spinning-ball religion. NASA has air bubbles in their "outerspace" videos because it's filmed underwater to fake weightlessness. Astronauts use wires and harnesses to fake weightlessness so people believe in the "outerspace" religion. Every picture of "outerspace" is a fake cartoon image that NASA admits is fake. .

A bit of Trivia around this movie: True Lies is an American remake of an 91's French comedy "La Totale!", who had some of the great names of the 70's/80's French comedy cinema. The Plot of True Lies is more or less the same( with off course exceptions) Claude Zidi, the French director of the movie, was in LA for a Foreign film Festival , and he also took the opportunity to have the movie Subbed in English and distributed on US market. Arnold's brother in Law saw the movie, and liked it, he called Arnold, who wanted to do an Action Familly comedy movie. He told him about the movie, invited him over and watched it with Him. Arnold loved the movie, and decided that he wanted to make an US adaptation of it, but that it needed more dynamism and action scenes (off course) he knew that at the time Cameron, his old pal, din't manage to secure the rights for his Spider-man movie adaptation, and so he was with a massive Hole in his agenda. He called him, talked to him about the Project, invited him over and despite not being sold at first, after seeing the movie and hearing Arnold's pitch, he decided to do it. Cameron's got in touch with Claude Zidi, who accepted to give them the rights for adaptation for a symbolic $, but still negociated a % on the movie revenues. AS stated by Cameron he kept all the important parts of "La Totale" in it, but added his own spin and also the first and 3rd acts are compeletly original "My goal was not to make a complet Remake, but to still keep the Spirit and Energy of the original movie". After that, the rest is history. While the critics are 50/50 about it, they all tend to agree that the comedy and action is good enough to make you pass an enjoyable moment. The movie will gross around 320 Millions $ world wide. The movie got an oscar Nomination for Best Visual Effects and Jamie Lee Curtis won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. The character played by Charlton Heston, who is the Agency Boss with the Eye Patch, is reference to Nick Fury (Cameron decided to include a Camoe of the character, even tho he couldn't make his Spiderman movie)

The bridge scene was all done practically, up to and including those harrier jumpjets belonging to the Florida Air National Guard. The bridge they shot the sequence on was the Old Keys Bridge, which was built in the early 20th Century. It was scheduled for demolition, being turned into a reef for the fish. If you look carefully, you can see the new bridge alongside the old bridge. Anyway, when the jets shoot a big hole in the Old Bridge, they actually shot a big hole in the Old Bridge (the truck that gets caught in the bridge explosion was a real truck, empty of course, that was being guided by a cable).

I love the "they hava Dana" moment. It seems like the movie was over, then it's not, and for a reason that makes complete sense, using a character you remember but hadn't thought about for almost an hour.

11:44 - I've actually stayed at this hotel in LA. It's called the Westin Bonaventure Hotel. We chose it randomly and didn't realize where we were until we walked inside. They filmed True Lies here as well as Interstellar, Heat, and about a dozen others.

There are some plaques near the elevators that tell you what movies were filmed there. So far they list true lies, forget Paris, and in the line of fire.

@@celsovera91 I remember. So you've been there. Yes, I believe there were at least 6 films shot there.

Bill Paxton (yes Game over is one of his lines from Aliens) has the interesting distinction of having been killed in by the Xenomorphs in Aliens AND killed by a Predator in I think Predator 2. I think True Lies is probably the best written action adventure with so many great lines and just such a great mix of humor and action.

And he was killed by the Terminator, he was one of the punks Terminator got clothes from.

You guys are hilarious haha. I have every Arnie movie on some form of VHS, DVD or Blu-Ray and seeing you guys rave about each one is so good. Looking forward to more.

2:29 You know, I'm pretty sure I sat in front of your guys in the theater at some point. I swear there were people behind me doing this behind me at some point some years ago. If you're on an Arnold kick then I'd suggest Last Action Hero if you haven't watched that one yet. Another favorite of mine from back in the day. Also blends that line between comedy and action. Bill Paxton was one of the greats. Don't forget that him, Arnold and Cameron also did Terminator together. Paxton was one of the punks in the beginning. He was also in Predator 2 in which Arnold was in the first one but neither one of those has anything to do with Cameron. He gets attacked by all of the great monsters of those days. Aliens, Predators, and Terminators.

I can think of at least 4 James Bond movies where skiing and shooting happen at the same time...On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), The Spy Who Loved Me (1975), For Your Eyes Only (1981) and A View to a Kill (1987). You guys need to watch some Bond flicks!

The spiritual successor to True Lies was the first Kingsman movie. Just the right mix of fun, exciting, clever and bonkers violence.

I loved this movie growing up, and I'm happy you guys reacted to this one. Such a great flick. 😁👍 Oh~! Here's some news for everyone's benefit. Despite the True Lies sequel getting canned years ago no thanks to the events of 9/11, it's getting a reboot as a TV series. At first I was skeptical, but since it's being headed up by some of the creatives behind "Burn Notice", another series based around spies, I'm reasonably hopeful that the TV series won't suck. 😋

Watched this when it came out in the 90s. It's a great movie. You never can really go wrong with Arnold. Can we get The Quick and the Dead with Gene Hackman reaction please?

Tom Arnold is absolutely fantastic in this role. If you want to see another movie with him playing a similar role, check out "Cradle 2 The Grave."

Great movie JLC killed it for sure. I was not a fan of Tom Arnold prior to this but I absolutely loved him in this. Made me reevaluate my opinion of him. Totally agree on Paxton he was fantastic as well.
