It's funny because Rachel is techinically lying about not having a crush on Chandler when they first met. We saw in the flashback episode, where they show all of them almost hooking up, that he flirted with her at the bar and then she had a "sex" dream about him.
@GreenAliceVerte8 ай бұрын
True but it doesn't mean things don't change. But yeah, I get it though, there were some continuity "errors", but maybe would've made for a less funny Friends? Also, when they first wrote Friends they had NO IDEA how huge the show was gonna be, and then had to create backstories (if Ross & Chandler were friends in college almost no way Rachel wouldn't have seen Chandler, so they had to integrate that, and make nice flashbacks), and then later on... oh, darn, I can't say.. would be a spoiler... I'll be patient!

So I'm 37 now, but EP 6 with Chandler dumping a girl because she was fat hits close to home. I dated a girl for 2 years when I was in high school, she was 15 and I was 17. Her boyfriend a year before that actually dumped her because she was fat. It messed with her self confidence so much that ANY compliment from myself about her being beautiful or looking good was answered with, "no I'm not." If we were ever laying around watching tv and I touched her belly, I got met with, "don't touch my fat." Stuff like that, especially at an early age can affect someone forever. It never stopped during that entire 2 year period either.

Re: the "good luck!" comment - at my wedding reception, my mother-in-laws best friend (whom I had never met 😳👀) came up to me, crying her eyes out, and said that she was so sorry for me, that my new husband would ruin my life. I had no idea what to say, I had just gotten married twenty minutes ago 😮. Turns out, she wasn't too far off of the mark. He was (is? I don't know 🤷🏻♀️) a serial cheater, and while he didn't ruin my life, it wasn't for a lack of trying. We got divorced after 10 years of marriage and almost 20 years together, and I'm happier than ever. But to this day, I'm still speechless over this woman coming up to me on my wedding day like that.

My mum is like Chandler when it comes to smiling for photos. The best pictures are indeed when she doesn't know it. I would've picked Rachel as well. And that woman coming up to Monica like that was definitely rude. The guys watching Die Hard after Bruce Willis was on the show is hilarious 😂 When Rachel is doing her maid of honor speech she says that she has known Chandler since he was 25 but she first met him when he and Ross were in college. However, she might have meant knowing Chandler as a friend as opposed to him just being her acquaintance. When Phoebe leaves the coffeehouse and says "we want the last 6 years back!" Ross turns away from her. This is because in a blooper Lisa cracked up laughing when she saw David's face. The scene where Joey and Ross take their first nap together took ages to film because David and Matt could not stop laughing. It's one of the longest bloopers. Courteney Cox was maid of honor for Jennifer Aniston when she married Justin Theroux in 2015.

I stayed at the funeral for 5 days and saw all my sons relatives. In fact I had spoken to his mother just a week earlier. People who don't get along with their exes and demonize them through red flags to me. If you liked someone enough to date them and you are a good judge of character why would they suddenly be a horrible person. I'm friendly with all my exes and I think it's a good thing.

I think if Phoebe had given any thought to how controlling Monica can be, she never would have competed so hard for the MOH position in the first place. The nap partners crack me up every time, as well as the bloopers for it. If I was marrying someone with hidden red flags, so to speak, I absolutely would want someone to warn me.
