This thing is fantastic. Completely modular. And takes up less space on the belt than other systems. Ounces equal pounds.

Just throw in some hook tape on the inside of your safariland mount and it should stop moving. Saves you $100.
@TNRay
@TNRay 3 жыл бұрын
Sure, that will work. But why not do it right and have an extremely solid mount that you know is not going anywhere? Worth $75 to me to know my pistol will be in the same place every single time I go for it

Did you use any of the rubber spacers when installing the qls plate? Did you use the safariland or true north install screws/nuts?
@TNRay
@TNRay Ай бұрын
Yes, I recommend selecting the rubber spacer based off the offset you need with your specific holster. I used the safariland nuts because they have the three tabs that allow them to sit flush inside the qls plate.

How does it feel when you sit in car? Compared to ubl
@TNRay
@TNRay 3 жыл бұрын
The MHA does not dig into your hip nearly as bad as a UBL, and I think that’s from the shape at the bottom. A UBL has the curved edge all the way around facing into your hip, whereas the MHA is flat. Way more comfortable

@TNRay

I’ve had no issues with it, but as you know, everyone is different and it also might depend on the vehicle. It feels better than a UBL for me because it has less bulk

@TNRay

When you buy the leg strap kit, it comes with the strap. Think it’s a 1”, but double check with them because they just released their second generation leg strap and I haven’t seen that one in person yet 😁

I've been running this daily for a few months now and it is tearing the hell out of my pants where it rubs. Not an issue on my swat rig but 8 hours a day on my other set up is taking a toll on my pants. Any ideas for a remedy? I have attached adhesive pads in the rub area but they don't seem to be helping. Other than that it is a great option.
@TNRay
@TNRay 2 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for your input! I haven’t had this issue but I’m also not wearing it on my duty setup. Have you tried sticking a foam piece on the inside of the adapter? Or maybe another option would be having an abrasion resistant material section sewed onto the outside of your pants just where these rub… if you’re not having to wear class b uniforms I suppose
@silvertreeindustries6298
@silvertreeindustries6298 2 жыл бұрын
I had the same issue on some range pants. I used sandpaper to smooth out the tops of the screws, which seemed to help a bit. I think the slots in the screws are very sharp, for some reason, and that is what is causing the west.

Hey @djm10874 I’ve got some info for you, if you’re still looking for a solution! Wore Performance makes something called the Aero Holster Pad, seems like a good way to cure the issues you mentioned. Hope all is well, and I hope this helps!

Why didn't you put it through the MOLLE on the belt? That's literally what it's for... 😂
@TNRay
@TNRay 2 жыл бұрын
Because the molle starts too far back on this specific belt. They have a full molle belt now that I do have it run through. But I’m not running the holster at the 4 o clock position where the molle starts

@TNRay
@TNRay 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have a Safariland for an M18 on a Low UBL and it rides in the same spot as my P320 on the MHA, when you use the lowest setting. Basically it gives you the option to run a mid drop or a low drop, or in between the two
