You guys truly capture the essence of how it feels fly fishing in the north! Got a camp over the border in Rangeley, Maine and these videos take me back to the countless hours spend on the rivers every year, Love it!

Great videos. The fishing was really good back in the 70's - 80's when I was there. Even better in the 50's and 60's when Dad was there. Sadly, its now fished pretty hard.

Was also all wild brookies back then, now whole watershed up there is overrun with stupid, non-native hatchery fish, as demonstrated in the video. Even our once famed "Wild" Ammonoosuc is now full of sterile stockers. So sad. Have to go to Maine or Quebec now to find decent wild trout fishing , with a few exceptions.

Thanks for the true north series. I finally made it to the upper Connecticut yesterday, and the reputation held strong. Great trout fishing. I will be back and will be staying at Lopstick.

What rod and reel where you using in this video?
@WildFlyProductions6 жыл бұрын
preston easley Redington butterstick and Crux rods and I think a cheeky reel on the butterstick. Had an Orvis hydros on the crux
