Thanks for posting these "smaller" adventures. Your simpler videos fishing in North Carolina were what got me into fly fishing years ago. I love the big adventures you go on, but the every day adventures that anyone can do is what I think inspires a lot of us. Great job!

The production value is SO HIGH for this being a solo project. Huge fan of your art and stories. I'm a medical student and I listen to your podcast whenever I'm driving to and from the hospital. You've inspired me to take advantage of the surf fishing nearby even if it's challenging. Appreciating local waters is so important. Reach out if you're ever in San Diego, will get you dialed in for the surf. Cant wait for more Fly Cup Diaries. Keep it up you're a legend!!!

This really shows the reality of what anyone can do. We all dream to take these great big adventure, but we need the fuel to make them happen. These small fast & light trips really are the fuel to drive the big things. Super rad to see Wild Fly taking it down to reality and doing what anyone can really accomplish in a day or weekend with a bit of creativity and planning. Its not always these super remote places that need to be fished. A stream on the side of the road can make for a great day of fishing. Love this and stoked for a new series

Finally getting to watch this and love it. I don't comment often, but I felt compelled. I bought a small kelty fanny pack(lame, I know) a year ago. It's what I take when I hike into WNC streams with the 2wt. It's contents are exactly the same. Tippet, floatant, and flies. That's it, and I've loved scaling back for certain outings

I have found a place to fish and have fun 15 minutes from my door. It's not about how big nor how many. It's about how much better you feel after getting out there and trying to unravel the mystery of trout. Thanks for sharing your adventures and keep doing them, whether you share or not!

Love this Scotty. As someone who does a lot of minimalist bike fishing along the San Antonio river, I very much appreciate this series. The ‘huge extravagant’ trips are great but do not shy away from these. Cannot wait to see one where you’re able to camp as well.

This brings me back to before I had a driver's license, just biking to lakes and streams and going fishing. It's cool to see you keeping that adventurous spirit alive, and just simply enjoying the process of going fishing rather than getting wrapped up in all the fancy gear and faraway places that are such a huge draw nowadays. Keep it up!!

I am trying to learn from your video shots on how to edit a fishing trip. I count about 28 complex time intensive tripod setups. No way was this a easy kickback solo fishing trip. Especially the uphill bike shots where you setup the tripod and ride up a steep section by it and than ride back down to breakdown the tripod and than ride up that same steep hill again 🤯🤯🤯. Lots of quick moving water shots, a few underwater shots, a few flower/plant shots, and some nicely composed tripod setup fishing shots. I am going to use a drone for my biking/hiking shots and save way more time for fishing.⌛️

Dig it dude! Started following you when we lived in NC too. Funny we also relocated to SLC. When you put out your Uinta video I told a bunch of friends how cool it would be to make a bikepacking fly loop out there. Then you went on your first bikepacking trip in Idaho and I was stoked! Hello, I appreciate the goal of simplifying in fly fishing. I would like to suggest that you give tenkara a try if you haven't already. It is a super simplified way to fly fish and it is so much fun. It is also a great way to introduce new folks to fly fishing as it mostly eliminates the complexities of line control.
@aaronbridge9355 Жыл бұрын
These are the type videos that got me interested in your channel originally. Good quality and simple fly fishing in creeks and small streams. Your more “robust” productions are great don’t get me wrong, but this is what I can relate to more. Would really like to see more of this. Great work as always!

We took a UTV overlanding trip in the Uintas in August. Fishing was great, but of all the mountains I’ve been in, I’ve never seen the weather change so quickly and so dramatically! On our last two days we experienced the heaviest rain we’ve ever had camping - three times! 😆
