Rotorazor Saw amzn.to/2DkwCjd
Bus Build channel www.lifwthewildride.com
Real review of the rotorazor saw. It is not the greatest thing I would never buy one but it has come in handy for building the bus and it is compact so it can easily go with you. Other then that it has too many issues for what it cost they advertise it to do so much but it is only capable of a fraction of that. if you watch the company video you see that the metal they cut with it is like paper. With that said if thats what you want it for then yull be fine just dont expect it to be as advertised. I guess that goes for most things sold today. All in All it works for many things and has its use just like many other tool.

I filed the plunge safety pin down, I found it too awkward and unsafe for me to have to unlock the plunge. It’s a small pin on the inside of the guard that moves in and out. Now I just turn it on and I don’t have to remove the plunge safety

Your first demerit I don't find too discomforting. IMHO, A woodworker's "Best Practice" always calls for making registration marks on your tool / table, etc. as a prerequesite step once you've set blade dept-of-cut ....this done on this tool, simply by plunging the blade fully and making a crayon mark on the side of shoe (between the near and far notches). I do agree, that the ergonomics fail need to be addressed in future model upgrades. The slider On-Off is far too discomforting; coupled with the same-diameter housing. Needs to fit the human hand better.

thanks for the great detailed review! As a woman I really don't like using hand held power tools because they aren't made for women's hands, and they are often too heavy for me to feel safe using. I feel safer using the big stuff that doesn't move but I no longer have access to a shop so am looking for things to use at home. Skill saws petrify me! I actually would love all the safety features but just looking at that thick handle, never mind all the things you commented on about what needs to be held down while cutting.... too bad. I'll keep looking or maybe they've improved this since 2018....I appreciate hearing from an expert!

Whoa....You misunderstood the part about "what needs to be held down while cutting"..The safety release button on top -is a "one-time" depress, meant ...to protect everything from the blade...until it's safely cutting into your item. You can release it ...after the cutting begins. I do agree, that the ergonomics of the body needs reworking to better adapt to being hand-held. I'd like a later model to have a fingertip depress in-lieu-of the finger slide.

Thank you for your honesty! I just saw their commercial and it stopped me in my tracks. I was about to purchase it because it seemed like the tool I would need to build temporary storage in my large studio apartment. This review is 5 years old, and their informercial seemed to address the very flaws you addressed, but I'm not sure. I am a DIYer, and have never built what I want to build from wood: wall shelves, floating shelves, large wall sound proofing, cabinet improvement, etc. For someone like me, what small hand tools would you recommend, please? Thank you for any information you may share. Could you make a video about it? I know I'm not the only renter wanting to create more space in residential rentals.

I wonder if you can ziptie that bottom button pulled back. Unless it doesn't pull back til it's running. I normally watch freaknreviews but don't think he's done rotorazor so yours seemed like a legit review but worry the compensation if the product is bought through your site affects your opinion. How does that work?
@shanesmaineshop
@shanesmaineshop 5 жыл бұрын
Good questions number one you can’t really zip tied back that bottom button because that’s the trigger that turns the salt on and off you would not want the cops are running right when you plugged it in I did intern though tape the top button forward so it’s easier to plunge down without having to push that. As far as me being compensated if you buy it through my site it’s only an Amazon link I make pennies so it doesn’t matter to me if you order it that way or not. Just wanted to do an honest review. With that said I have been using it quite a bit on the building of my bus so even though it has its issues it certainly has come in handy. I suppose that goes for just about any tool. Either way thank you for taking the time to comment and asking the questions.
