It was nice to see Kevin take on a more challenging role even though he still kinda played himself in a way. The plot twists were kind of predictable but watching it was an overall thrilling and engaging experience. Wesley Snipes did amazing but his character just had to go 🙅🏾‍♂️😅 Great Review!!!

I think this was definitely his best work but Fatherhood is a close second. The ending definitely shocked me although one major aspect of the show was very predictable.

This show was unexpectedly amazing. All the actors did award winning performances. This is Kevin Harts best role. He held his own playing against Wesley Snipes. Great show. 👋👋👋👋

What was Prince's name in Purple Rain? THE KID. Prince was so close the character portrayed in Purple Rain, I think that's what Kevin was trying to do... show how his character was so close to himself like Prince did before him. I like the t-shirts Kevin wore in the series. They told a story. When he had the N.W.A t-shirt on, I knew something gangster was about to happen. I didn't like the ending...it played into the stereotype that all Black men do is kill one another.

99 % of the viewers peeped that that girl wasn't dead & it was just an extortion plot by the brother and Greek dude at the beginning & why did they try to develop a sub plot with the girl Billie at the beginning but then aside from discovering that she was banging the bodyguard they just blatantly abandoned her character for the rest of the series?

I dunno… each episode DID keep me on the edge of my seat but the end was a let down. Wesley Snipes was excellent. I’m loving his come back.

I am not a big Kevin Hart fan of his comedy but I have loved his dramatic roles The Upside, Fatherhood (cried all through it) and now True Story! I figured out the plot from 1st episode but I liked the twists. Sidebar I liked Hershel initially but the end made me see he was like the others.

I was definitely getting tired of Kevin's comedy because it has become overdone and also unrelatable. This work, however, is some of his best work 👌🏾 I really enjoyed it! Philly stand up!

@@justmyopinion84 man, oh man the series was phenomenal, wow... i called the girl from the first ep but boy I didn't see what was going to happen to his brother. Only one problem, it ended in a neat bow that my only issue with the show. i felt the main character need more consequences for his actions. The kid is a sociopath, haha but love it. For a miget Kevin heart is a scary dude... there's pain behind that laugher and hulk smash rage..

Yes, Kevin Hart was so impressive. I was surprised because I'm not fond of his standup however, his acting was really impressive.

Not a big fan of Kevin Heart prior to this series although, I did like many of his previous works. This show definitely makes me want to see what's next for Kevin. It was also a pleasure to see Westley back.

Great video! I thought the series was very well done, I do think it is Kevin's best work. The only thing that bothers me for some reason is that it's a series and not a movie. You kept mistakenly saying "film" and I got that vibe as well. I wish it was a full feature film rather than a series.. I feel it could have been cut down to 2hrs and fifteen minutes or so and still been amazing.
