This long term review may seem silly, but the truth is, I am incredibly impressed with the longevity of this low end wheelbarrow. Over 20 years and it once again came out of retirement to help me move over 300 bags of quickset concrete!

Old squeaky still has character. You started describing it I was thinking of myself. Have a blessed day.

Have a wheelbarrow we bought 45 yrs. ago, when we were married. Wooden handles decay, metal frame and barrel unit rusts and tire succumbs to the elements. Took the barrel unit, sanded it down, primed and painted it charcoal metal flake, and made a flower container. It may be around for another 45 yrs. Recycle, reclaim, revisit and enjoy! 😑🦗

Glad to see that it survived for 20+ years, FYI, The True Temper brand is still available and is now owned by Ames, and that unit was made right here in the USA in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. Squirt some grease on the axle and you can change it's name to old smoothie. Thanks for posting

@@FarpointFarms Yeah, I have to agree. The wood handles came from Malaysia I'm guessing it was stamped on them somewhere. Thanks for the reply.

I have the same wheel barrow. It best feature is it's light and doesn't add to the load and can be maneuvered easily.

Had one or two growing up over 30 years ago. Used mainly to transport hand tools across the 1 acre property and to bring groceries from carport to house twice a week. Star lock washers are a must in your hardware Lube up the wheel shaft about every three or four years with heavy axle grease Keep em upright under cover and they last for eons.

the under cover part is probably the most important. I kills me to see new higher end ones just let out in the rain- they will be the same one that complain that they did not last long

I used to buy (wholesale) True Temper products. There was nothing they made that wasn't the very best quality! 👍🏻

I think I have a couple of those , if they don’t squeak something is wrong with it , and the tire is always flat when I need to use it , guess that’s what keeps life interesting

Let me tell you ,, I have plenty of man hours behind a set of those handles in my younger teenager years . I was definitely certified by the time I was 18 and left home after high school for the Marine Corps . I can honestly say that working a wheel barrow for hundreds of miles pushing dirt, rock, cement , logs, coal , gravel ,, basic training wasnt that hard for me . Those around me that complained and thought their life was over , I’d tell them “you shoulda grew up with me, this is a vacation compared to how my dad worked me” 🤣🤣🤣

Hey Dallas! We did not have a wheelbarrow when I grew up. I had two 5 gallon buckets with rope handles. The metal ones never held up. I never participated in high school sports. I worked on my 3 uncle's farms after school and on the weekends. I began basic training, in the martial arts, at the age of 10 and finally retired at 45. People generally guess my age as in the early 50's. I am 67. The softening generations, with the dumbing down syndrome, is a future I will be glad not to witness. You have my admiration, respect and heart felt salute, my friend. Catch ya in the airwaves someday. 👋👍😑🦗

@@stonefacedgrasshopper2200 Haha ,, right on man ,, I appreciate that and I know what you mean . I’m 48 ,, and I’m pretty sure I’m the last generation that had to work at home . My dad always had projects going on . He was a carpenter/construction/electrician and there was never an off day . When he wasn’t working at his full time job at the coal mines , we were working at home building our house or someone’s house , etc and etc ,, and I know about those buckets with ropes ,, I carried probably 50 tons of coal from the coal pile to the stove in our house growing up . They were good times . Wouldn’t take nothing for it . Thank you for your years of service 👍 as well ,, see you on KZbin buddy ,, 347 in Tennessee wave

Old Squeaky. I'd say she has some life left in her yet! I do undetstand that sometimes you have to let go, but she'll do you good down by the chickens, don't you think?
