Well, it is better. It's the next step and evolution after all though I'm not much of a fan of UI being a form to begin with personally, I feel we have way too many transformations. I'd rather them learn new techniques, train and actually strategically defeat a strong opponent. At the TOP they said he reached the perfect UI state, that's it. How the heck do you go beyond that? It's the upper limit, your body fights for you. In a few years we're gonna get Ultimate UI and Beyond Ultimate UI!

I do like the idea that Gokus "new power up" is basically more a character developed transformation than an actual power up. True UI is after all basically just UI sign, only without Goku forcing himself constantly suppressing his true emotions. True UI has more to do with self acceptance about who Goku is and how he sees himself. A saiyan who started to understand pride, his heritage and that he was raised on earth. He gets his emotions. He feels his heart pumping for a fight. Like a true saiyan but also like a true human martial artist. True UI let's his body move from itself along with his emotions. Perfect Ultra Instinct is still the stronger form. But it's more like a last resort technique, when nothing else works against an opponent. When too much is being risked and he has to overcome himself. And that's totally ok. Let it be the final solution when a battle starts to be about more than Gokus love for fighting. When he has to set his feelings aside and finish the battle.

MUI is still some sort of Transformation to Goku, it may be his strongest form but of course he was a time limit to how long he can sustain that form Where as him achieving True ultra instinct in a way that suits him best rather than trying to copy Whis’s style of ultra instinct, like he said earlier in the manga, he had to find his own version of ultra instinct. And that he did after learning of his heritage, his father’s saiyan pride, and understanding saiyan pride himself, he was finally able to fight with the honor saiyans have for themselves and the rest of their mighty warrior race, but at the same time still be the light hearted kind earth martial artist he grew up as So i do agree that Goku’s True Ultra instinct acts more as a character development

True Ultra Instinct is simply Goku’s Ultra Instinct. It’s the same as Silver Haired UI but it’s being used in Goku’s base form as it’s better accustomed to Goku’s emotions

The fact it changed hair color and made him "stronger" always made me annoyed. Yeah, it's a technique with a cool concept (eventhough it makes no sense seasoned fighters like Goku - who trained under Popo and Kami - wouldn't have something basic like that)... but in practice, it's just Super Saiyan White with a better name. At least the hair color seems to tie into the angels. I didn't notice that until I read Dragon Ball Kakumei lol

It's honestly debatable. I would say that if the Silver haired form is truly mastered, then it's stronger, but with the new version of UI it allows him to use his emotions to his advantage to become stronger However, toward the end of the fight, when Goku reawakens his spirit projection form we saw in the Moro Arc, Goku returns to use Perfected UI in that moment, and Gas is left completely helpless as Goku's projection throws Gas to space and allows them to finally beat him

This version of ui is Goku finding himself tapping into his own saiyan instinct not trying to be like whis as he was in mui like beerus said goku was fighting like a god against Moro against gas he had his head in the game but he could control his emotions better not trying to be perfect but also taking some of whis style and making it his own this is something I have always liked about Goku while he admires his masters he doesn’t try to be exactly like them and that I feel is very respectful and relatable and like mr miyagi said “tree have strong roots but choose which way tree grow”

I think it's more like he's been trying to do it Whis and Merus's way, which hasn't really been working for him, and this is him going back and sort of rebuilding his own version from the ground up. I beleive there is going to be a subsequent silver haired version of this form.

The reason why I and I think a lot of others like the MUI form as compared to this new TUI is due to the hype we got during the buildup to MUI and when we finally got it was basically the modern equivalent of the original Super Saiyan form in terms of hype and a power boost. MUI insn't really working for Goku, because he's trying to mimicking the angels power, and he doesn't need to do that. Because simply it doesn't work. What he needs now is to archive some sort of form which will fuse the Saiyan nature with Goku UI's. What else can be if not a Saiyan for? I honestly view this as the manga's approach to kaioken. Kaioken with SsBlue was exclusively in the anime but never used in the manga. If they're going that route, Goku using TUI is his way of re-training his body to move independently without sacrificing his personality/emotions. MUI (silver hair) in this case would be like kaioken where he gains a boost with all the benefits of the state but it strains his body to where he csn't use it for too long. MUI could be a limitless kaioken multiplier to Goku's base power. That's how I'd view this.

Nothing is headcanon here, dunno where you got that idea from 🤨 The episode that first featured Kaioken Blue was April 2016. The Goku Black arc didn't premier in the manga until September, and since each chapter is released monthly, we don't see Mastered Blue until well into the second half of the arc. So your assumption is incorrect.

My current expectation is that TUI is going to be Goku's preferred form; basically the one that he's most comfortable with and what he'll default to. Whis did say that Goku should be able to use UI without the need to transform so maybe dialing it back to sign is the first step to Goku being able to use UI constantly without any drawbacks or limitations. Perhaps MUI is supposed to be delegated to being Goku's final form, where he unleashes the full might of UI and thus needs to transform to do it, but because it doesn't align with his nature, it's something he only uses sparingly.

This is not a completely new transformation whatsoever. This is just the beginning to Goku's path of mastering Ultra Instinct his own way in a way that best suits him. Which is why I do believe that there are four variants of ultra instinct, the ideal path of the Angels, and the path Goku has to take to master it. Each of them with an omen and mastered state

I feel like the name is being overanalyzed since the true part not giving the feeling like it's part of the name (since it's lowercase). I believe that this is omen, but currently this is his best form for adaptability now that he can use omen without a time limit. This is further shown as he was able to hold this form for a whole chapter and a half showing that he had to regress to find himself again. I am personally excited to see him develop into MUI as it was one of my biggest pet peeves from the Moro arc when it was implied that he can always reach that state. Similar to One for All in MHA, I would like to see Goku slowly develop his UI omen/true UI into the 100% perfected version once again.

Merus, the other angels, and the grand priest all use MUI because it fits them perfectly. But they all use it to different degrees. If whis is right about Goku not being able to perfectly imitate the angles and him really being at a lower level than every other MUI user: UI omen (now True UI) maybe his most efficient version because he's a Saiyan and a mortal. But if he's weaker than every UI user in MUI, that means the angels trained past it and sees MUI as the basic level. For Goku, this would be UI omen. His path to strength may now be higher trained levels of this imperfect form. I say he can't train his MUI to higher levels only because whis says Goku can't progress in the Divine state of MUI. I could be wrong, but it's obvious that his Omen is better in his within his grasp.

You're correct and incorrect 1. True instinct is NOT a thing, is not referenced in the manga 2. Its clearly stated its omen and FOR NOW: meaning when Goku can't control his emotions because of heeters evil deeds omen works better since emotions can work with it. MUI is stronger but it needs emotional control otherwise it loses power below omen 3. Omen will always have bigger stamina drain than MUI because it's a intermediate unstable state, omen is just a step, Goku will eventually learn to supress his emotions in the face of adversity or find a way to make emotions work while in mui

One point MasakoX: Vegeta did manage to perfect SSB as well in the manga; he actually uses it when training against Beerus in chapter 27. Vegeta and Goku are both using perfected SSB during the TOP arc in the manga, as well, and using it without issue/stamina drain by then. As for a True Ultra Instinct, I admit I prefer that idea over Master UI; while the silver look on Goku is spectacular imo (really grew on me), Goku fighting without emotion is not a good fit for him. Vegeta and Goku both feel such joy in combat that their individual forms should play off those. Vegeta's Ultra Ego makes so much sense for me, I want Goku to find something that fits his personality a bit more than UI.

Well I do think that True UI now perfectly fits Goku. Cause when Vegeta said that Goku moves differently than usually with UI, it was supposed to explain that his body does not only move from itself, but it also moves now along Gokus emotions. A fighting style Goku does since we got introduced to him. He can let his body now move with how he feels. Rage, happiness etc. UI let's his body response to it.

i think it's pretty brilliant that goku, when passed out from being ki blasted to oblivion and hearing that the planet will blow up if granolah fires down, taps into full UI through the instinct to survive, which is obviously what he's just remembered when regaining his memories.

Based on the form's logic, it seems that the silver haired form (Completed UI) is when all qualities of Ultra Instinct are active. I could be wrong, but I believe the writers are getting ready to set up Ultra Instinct as a technique that Goku uses, and less of a form.

I think Ultra Instinct is my favorite "transformation" because it's so much more than a power multiplier, it represents the ultimate goal of any martial artist. It's also not a form that can easily become irrelevant, they've done a good job making Goku's journey into understanding the technique long and interesting. I hope they continue portraying UI as Goku's "definitive" transformation. Instead of having to adquire a new power, he needs to work on improving what he already has.

I agree with all that, but don't you think the message of Ultra Instinct is a little bit redundant and... hard to suspend your disbelief? Like, the fact Goku is a TRIPLE MASTER of martial arts but still doesn't something as basic as "auto mode" just seems weird to me. Hard to believe. Also there's Popo's training that seemed to touch a similar concept. I dunno, I like how it's handled (besides the white hair), but, just like the "Goku is too carefree" message from Res F, this seems like an oversimplification of the DB journey. The Super manga (which eventually bleeds its way into the anime) has a bad habit of taking forms that have been somewhat established by the creator(s) and making things convoluted for the sake of making Goku (or other users of whatever form is the topic of an arc) have something to thrive for. Remember when Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (Super Saiyan Blue) was advertised as the superior form to Super Saiyan God because it was easier to control, didn't have the dreaded time limit of SSG and was the perfect fusion of divine ki and the Super Saiyan form? Basically, it was the blending of Goku's godly ascension and his natural Saiyan power. This form was easier on the user's body and stamina. Then we get to the ridiculous drawback mentioned by Whis during the Super manga's Universe 6 vs. 7 Tournament arc where he said... "If the user transforms into Super Sayian Blue multiple times it causes a massive drain of stamina." Something along those lines. Apparently, Vegeta who went SSB for a moment to show it to Cabba before knocking him out reverted back to base and then went into SSB when it was time to fight Hit moments later. Just the switching on, off and on again of the form made it so 90% of his stamina was GONE. WTF?!?!??!!?! I miss when Ultra Instinct was just the Sign form and Silver hair form (I'm not even gonna get into using terms like 'Mastered' because...no) because it felt simplistic. Sign was like the midway point of Goku using this technique of the gods while the Silver hair was him having a more 'completed' version of the form where he could use it for both defense and offensive means. The Moro arc wasn't too bad because it was about Goku learning how to use the form at will. That was fine, but the moment the current arc started and Whis said that Goku was at the bottom of the totem pole of UI users...omg. Ok, I get it! Goku not being the best at the form makes sense! He isn't an angel. However, they keep retconning what UI is and the specifics of it. Love your video, but I doubt it will mean a hill of beans by the time the next arc rolls around. I like Ultra Ego, but I bet they'll run it into the ground with a bunch of changes to it as the story moves along. *Vegeta also used a form of 'Perfected Super Saiyan Blue' at the beginning of the Tournament of Power arc against Beerus.

And in the end, he didn't have to be vexed about relying on goku, because it was beerus who allowed wis to grant that wish, as a reward. I like to think of it as a means of Goku returning to the basics, and training his Ultra Instinct from the Ground up. When he first unlocked his perfected state against Jiren, he assumed this was what he needed to aim for, but he got lost trying to find an instinct that goes against his nature. Just like he does often, he went back to his most basic state of UI, and attempted to rebuild it from the ground up to figure out what he was truly needing to aim for. In the end, he tapped into his "True Ultra Instinct", and will eventually move on from the transformation as he utilizes it in his base form like Whis said.

That's my concern too. If you boil this concept down to the grit, all they did was remove the requirements to get into UI, which should theoretically remove the properties, or at least change them. At that point, is it really UI anymore? And that's a good point about Toyota not being to convey the power visually. It reminds me of Goku vs Hit in the Manga. That fight just felt so flat because Toyo didn't really bother to visualize Hits timeskip like the anime did. And it's also why Ultra Ego feels so underwhelming. If we weren't CONSTANTLY told that UE gets more powerful with more damage received, we would never be able to conceive that it is a property of UE

Yes ! Precisely. What makes a technique unique and its set of properties should be seen not told. You could tell Kaioken was hard on Goku’s body but man its depiction in the manga showed how fast and strong it was. Here, we are supposed to believe that Goku uses a form which enhances his instincts to the point that his body behaves on its own… but rarely do we get to actually see that. And as a side note I really can’t stand this “giant Goku” technique. Hate it. It’s too far from DB. The closest we got was maybe the Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack but it was the Buu saga (for better or worse) AND came from a comedic character for a comedic purpose. Here it shows out of nowhere, no one seems to bat an eye and it feels out of place.

Honestly its very confusing, first of all gas acknowledged that silver haired UI indicated greater strength than this new form goku have and goku also stated "yeah, but i need to be calm to use it which i cannot do right now" and then proceeds to go into his new UI stating with this new form he is able to put his emotion into work and he is definitely not calm. Based on both goku and gas statement i think the silver haired UI still indicated greater strength compared to goku new UI. However i don't think goku can utilize silver haired UI as better as his new UI form thus making his new UI form seems stronger than his silver haired one.

Then I saw geekdoms video I thought the same thing, unlike other techniques Goku has learned… normally there is only one way to use it … where in this case each user probably has a different method and it’s unique to them rather then it being the same every time. Which probably makes it that much more dangerous in battle because just because you KNOW they have this power doesn’t mean you know what THAT specific fighter is capable of doing with it. Which means you could probably have situations where there 4 people for example using UI but each one is different so if fighting one person who is weaker than the other three and your able to hold your own but then you fight the next guy using his version of and get washed because he has a completely different skill set that’s unique to him that you have no idea how to counter because your thinking if all of them are using the same technique it should be the same

Here's my theory: UI (omen) is weaker than MUI. Goku can access both UI and MUI. Goku is a Saiyan, and is unable to use MUI to the true potential. Even the angles use MUI to various high potentials. Goku, after training, can use the imperfect UI to it's true potential. If he could do this with MUI, he would have used it instead.
