When I've mentioned about modesty at church, they ALL ask if I'm following Judaism. I explain the wording in the Bible but they disagree n insist it's not for Christians. Even my head covering (beanie/hat) gets a 'look' of disapproval as I don't remove it during the service. It's seen as rude.

And even when churches are not that extreme in their "entertainment", they still hinge on the entertainment side rather than worship. I was a part of a church that I loved, for over 28 years and ended up leaving because of what their "worship" services had become. When it goes from worship to entertainment, you will see a difference in the way people dress, speak and act. They started bringing in McDonald's food, eating it during the service, many people walking in with their Cafe Latte's from either Starbucks or the church's Cafe shop that is connected to the church. So very disrespectful. It became so discouraging because I couldn't tell if I was in a church or a club. I believe if a church's worship is like that, it shows there is a problem with the Pastor that is allowing that in their congregation. You will notice it in what they teach as well.

When church is more of a rock concert and the singers get applause and the songs have "I" in them more often than anthing praising God, and they have their own coffee shop, and the.pastor walks out in tennis shoes and untucked shirt, I already know that at best, the message will be baby food, but perhaps even less edifying than the nurserys sunday school message. I also feel kids should join the adults for worship and not have their own church in another room. Nor do I like when a church likes to use a whole worship hour to applude themselves on their numbers of attendees and asking for more money to build a larger stage. The worship hour is for worship of God, not the pastor to brag about the numbers of "souls he has saved". I unxerstand the modern idea of doing the idea of dress code to not appear judgy, so people will come in. I think that we should not judge a newcomer for not having name brand clothed and maybe all they have is rags. But its different to welcome someone in their shabby best vs choosing to dress like the church is a strip club or pajama party. I dont know of anyone that walked into a church because it was huge and looked like a nice place to watch a concert. Most were invited by church members or are seeking God. Before I came to faith I went to churches I was invited to and the most off putting and made me most question the "uppity, hypocritical Christians" were the churches that were too casual and didnt take themselves seriously. How could I take Gods laws seriously if there is zero respect for even dressing as well as you might for a business meeting? Thats what I think rock concert, casual dress churches put out there is a message that there is no need to respect God, even on something so small as to choose to wear your nicest outfit and dont try to look sexy.

'He too stripped off his clothes and he too fell into an ecstasy in the presence of Samuel, and falling down lay there naked all that day and night. Hence the saying: Is Saul one of the prophets too?' 1 Samuel 19:24. 'At that time Yahweh had spoken through Isaiah son of Amoz. He had said to him, 'Go and undo the sackcloth round your waist and take the sandals off your feet'. The latter had done so, and walked about, naked and barefoot.' Isaiah 20:2. 'Who told you that you were naked?' Genesis 3:11. These are 3 bible examples of people who God can see naked. Yahweh is holy and the nakedness of these people is before him. The prophet Paul seems to be very offended by people's flesh, not God. Am I right or totally wrong? Is it sin that is in people who cannot look at nakedness and be tempted? God is not tempted. God is holy. Do we really have to dress up to worship God or he is offended? Did you hear of the terrible things that happened to Christian martyrs at the hands of the Romans? A pregnant woman was stripped naked in front of a crowd. The crowd were horrified by her because her breasts were dripping milk for her unborn child. She was then killed in front of the crowd for following Yeshua. Do you really think Yahweh was offended by her nakedness? When Jewish prisoners were led naked in a concentration camp by the Nazis into the gas chambers and executed do you think Yahweh was offended by their nakedness? It is sin that offends Yahweh, not nakedness I think. If you are offended by the way people dress because you can see some of their flesh is that not your sin? I am not in the least bit offended by how a person dresses but how they speak and behave.
