People can flip so quick and out of nowhere, especially if no one is being observant. I don't trust people and my mindset is 95% of the time, "what's this person have going on "? I'm so suspicious of people, I choose to not have friends. I only have acquaintances because I don't want to end up like the girls and women, killed by their friends.

@garethtaylor14709 ай бұрын
Absolutely and it is so so wrong imo that Killers and even violent attackers are not hunted more extremely and punished more severely. I am referring to the ridiculousness that is the justice system and how murderers even when caught and proven guilty are given the right or opportunity to constantly appeal, to offer deals and to constantly play games and torture the victims families sometimes for decades by withholding information such as the location of a body and using that as their last bit of control to get themselves all kinds of privileges and to taunt the families and the Police officers involved and it’s got to such a sad state that family members of murder victims have committed suicide in some instances due to the lack of justice and the stress of being taunted and played with by the killer. The whole point of the justice system is to protect decent society but these days it seems the opposite is happening where the rights of the felon are upheld and put before the rights of the victims and their families. The same way that criminals and extremely dangerous people such as gangs wielding weapons can freely go around intimidating and being violent towards citizens and vulnerable people and it’s just so wrong. No system is going to be perfect that’s not what I’m suggesting but if the lines of law are not clear and held firm then people will continually breach them without much thought. Certain countries that the west see as inhumane but have almost zero violent crime are not doing anything inventive but simply staying disciplined when it comes to extremism. There is tolerant free society and then there is negligent weak and vulnerable society that is easily manipulated and exploited.

Drugs are so insanely horrible and destroy so many more lives than just the addict. In the first couple minutes he says "She was using drugs and had to do things to support her habit, but had a regular boyfriend." My first thoughts were, trying not to be disrespectful but,,, that she was engaging in the oldest profession in history and it pissed him off to an extreme level. Not that I at all condone that whatsoever. But I would expect a ton of men would get extremely irate if they discovered their girlfriend was having sex with random strangers. Not only because of the cheating but because of the risk of aids, etc that he's being put in against his will and/or knowledge. Just imagine if you all of a sudden contracted aids. Then tried to convince everyone it was your gf who gave it to you. I imagine a lot of folks might not believe you, coworkers, neighbors, etc. Now not only do you have aids and might die, but some people might think you have a certain sexual preference as well. Pile that on top of having been cheated on and it's going to bring out the angriest of rage in a lot of guys. This guy was obviously evil already, but those types of circumstances could very possibly push even a normal stable man over the edge. All because of drugs. Such a sad deal all around.

28 minutes into the video, I am starting to sense Travis was never in the woods with Skylar. I sense Travis killed Skylar somewhere else and needed to find a way to cover his tracks while throwing the police off from the start. .

I never understand why parents want to know "why". It just gives the murderer more power and the reason is either a psychological defect or the results from being rejected. Either way, what changes by knowing.

Travis failed his polygraph test so therefore he should have been arrested on the spot & his fiance too they both know what happened

The mother of the young woman is heartbreaking. For those of us who have lived with drug addicts, we know her final sentiments were about more than just her daughter's murder. So sad.
@Kittie289 ай бұрын
How many times did they call this girl beautiful? Sad that's only good thing said about her. And even that is grossly subjective. Mom didn't even say she was a good daughter. Yikes.
@jeanbeans79269 ай бұрын
Please be respectful to the family of the deceased. You have no idea what that person was really like, she may have been a beautiful sensitive soul. Look in the mirror, and what would they say about you on your worst day?

Having a family member that's an addict is so incredibly difficult... Especially heroin... It literally changes the person into someone you don't even recognize... It's hard to talk about the person they were because that's not who they became...

Theres a hell of a lot more dangerous things in the woods than snakes and wild pigs that would give pause to entering them.

Having to give a grown daughter $20 means that YOU KNOW the problem, you had 50 other signs and you expected the worst, please, now that she is dead do not cry "angel" cuz. that is just you lying to yourself and then trying to sell us that lie.
@lizzayy-cg2ec9 ай бұрын
Really? So she shouldn't be able to cry and grieve over her MURDERED child?! Bc she gave her daughter $20? You're sick. God forbid nobody you know and love or even worse your child goes through the hell of addiction.

Knowing that addiction is a disease and that addicts often engage in risky behavior to support their addiction, I too would rather give money, if I could, than have my loved one turn tricks or steal.

@@Reba-cf5fnAddiction is Not a ‘disease’, contrary to what our government has tried to Indoctrinate us to believe! One Chooses to do drugs once. One Continues to Choose to keep doing drugs. Even prescription drugs can cause a user to become an addict. It’s Not a freaking ‘disease’! It’s a freaking addiction. One can become addicted to caffeine, tobacco, drugs. It’s Not a freaking ‘disease’! Look up the definition of ‘disease’ then look up the definition of ‘addiction’. So tired of uneducated/uninformed people claiming addictions are a’disease’🙄

No doubt her mother would also have been mortified to see her daughter die from addiction which was always a possibility. However being murdered , can you not see that that is far worse? She was bludgeoned with a hammer. Mother suffering enough as it is. I hope she does not read your comment and take it to heart.

A giant “teddy bear” with a decent job, who was easy to talk to …… but he didn’t have a lot of friends and no girlfriend ? Nope - doesn’t fit. Something is off bells ring loud and high. Ever met someone like that? Everyone at work says they’re friendly. But they have no friends? 😂 Hm…….🤔 I don’t know…… I wouldn’t be alone with a giant like that. No way Jose!

So did the Dogs Smell SKYLER in the Truck and or did the Dogs pick up SKYLER'S scent any place in the woods❓

I have a theory that Travis delivered him to some people waiting for Skyler in the woods and that Travis knew it was going to be a very bad thing for Skyler.
