When I first saw this post,I immediately dismissed it and reckoned it was going to be garbage ( just because of some preconceptions I had about the channel) but as a huge john kavanagh/sbg fighters fan from Dublin, I absolutely loved this interview. Unfortunately, as John touched on briefly about Conor’s attention span, I just couldn’t imagine him in a podcast scenario for too long. On the flip side Khabib was reading all conor’s moves like he had written them down in a notebook. Conor’s classic pull & left hook counter was the perfect example, khabib saw it coming miles away.

@@TheQwerty99215 Conor was a different man then, he was coked up and drunk with a massive group of skinheads from Dublin, wrecking busses, drinking whisky at the presser, veins popping out of his head, sweating and on edge. I am not saying Conor would have won, but it would have been a totally different fight, more competitive, more free flowing, look at his walk in compared to every single other walk in he has ever made, he didn’t want to be there, I knew it the second I seen his face when they met at the middle for ref to give Rules. If he was as he is now or for build up for cowboy it would have been different, at very least more competitive! That’s why I’d love to see the rematch, he may lose but it would be a very different story, that is for sure.

It does not matter one bit if your foot hurts if youre drinking if your ball cup was too heavy that night, you signed the contract which means you were ready to fight. In the end he got outclassed out paced out-worked. Thats the bottom line. A rematch is not an issue as long as you EARN it, currently conor is 1-1 in the lightweight division, it was sketchy that he got the Eddie fight but alright he was champ at the time, why he got another titleshot against khabib i have no idea. But to give him another 3rd titleshot in a row is just ridiculous.
