There is one wrong piece of info here: In the timeline of the games, Naoto (one of the playable characters from game 4 who is a visitor from an alternate timeline) kills his sister, which in turn leads Clavis to kill Naoto to stop him from being a threat to the world. This takes place before the arrival of the Black Beast. Killing Naoto involved killing thousands of civilians in the process; interference on that scale would have had the same effect on Clavis as Rachel's has on her; he dies because he intervened too much.
