A bit of an advanced tip: the lvl 3 GI combo at 11:55 can be optimized by inputting a forward dash before the agA. If done right you can do 66A+B immediately and launch the opponent for another agA. This does somewhere between 67 and 80 dmg depending on which just frames you land. Very threatening when most other characters are doing 30-50 dmg off of GI stagger. On lvl 2 GI the opponent stays in range such that you don't need to dash forward for this same combo, but the GI stagger is shortened to the point where you MUST land the first just frame to get the lethal hit.

TIP: If you are not tank, bring your fighter torso. Never bring your bcp to this boss. Never wear barrows armor. She focuses the highest defense. Make it easier on yourself and bring a fighter torso.

As a veteran of Soul Cal III player from back in the day on the good ole original Xbox I assumed I would naturally pick up most characters again on VI now that I just bought it today for PC. Yes I am using a controller on PC for this game but it has thrown me off so far that A+X buttons on a standard Xbox style remote back in the day was the two buttons to press together for close range grab and using default controller mapping buttons so far I've been unable to quite figure out how to do a grab move on someone... Granted I just hopped right into battles to try the game out and haven't put any time into any kind of move list studying yet or practice modes etc. so that'll be to come... As a newb to VI though this guy is talking in language I'm not familiar with like saying 2 for up and 6 for right or towards enemy directions etc... What's all the crazy lingo about instead of just "Up, up, A" or wtvr.. This whole fancy lingo of triple 6 A blah blah I'm like 6 what!? Then dude's already onto the next move before I could even visually grasp what last move was hahah. This is def. an experienced level fast moving guide for players who already know what they're doing I guess. I'm lost with this kind of character guide moving so quickly from move to move to move.

8:09 I don't know if it was patched or something but the full combo doesn't work for me, it stops after the handle hit and does'nt kick afterwards to put the enemy on the ground.

It worked perfectly fine for me, but you have to hold B to get into Night Side Stance to do the kick. It can feel janky to pull off.

How do I do the thing where I repulse them off me with forward a or b? It says to do it while performing but I don't get what it means. And i can't pull it off. So fast rushers give me trouble since I can't get them off of me now. I just have to use a quick attack to bop them off of me.

If you still don't know, your forward A, forward B, and forward C give a little time before the attack where you glow red, if you are hit during that you will counter and gain night terror charge. You can also press down A+B to hit an opponent on the ground and gain night terror charge, or you can press forward A+B to do it without the attack

It's the number pad notation like this 7 8 9 4 5 6 1 2 3 For example 66 means pressing foward double times while 1 means holding down back.

This notation always assumes you're facing right. 4 = back 2 = down 6 = forward 8 = up 1 = down and back 3 = down and forward 7 = up and back 9 = up and forward 5 = neutral position [no input]

Late reply, but it's the numpad version of the movement, so you don't need to say "down" or "right". So they say "2" and "6" respectively.
