I'm almost sold on this Tonex thingybob but help an old man understand the technology. I'm a guitar straight into amp guy (currently a Princeton tonemaster). I've never played into a computer (how would I connect it to my zx spectrum anyway). I have absolutely no idea what an impulse response is (maybe something you shouldn't do in the pub after you've had one too many?). If I got one of these could I plug it into my amp just like a pedal and get my amp to emulate all these sounds or is it really only just for guitars rigged up to computers?

The difference in having a world class engineer make the captures is incredible, i always moaned about digital gear just not being able to replicate that cream low mid sound of analogue, turns out it can do it just fine, just needs a pro at the helm. This is the best sounding fender and marshal amp in a box period. The idea of getting some legendary tones is exciting, can you imagine if jimmy page agreed to it.

Please Tonex.......................make this happen!
@ksharpe107 ай бұрын
@@knuck1952 Of Course it would be what Eric has left, and uses, since about 1996. Most Fans know that in about 1994 while touring Eric suffered a mishap to his Hearing, and revamped his Live setup, he went from his Marshall 100 watt, and 2 Twin Reverb setup, to 50 watt Marshalls and 2 deluxe reverbs setup. The Dumble was gone even before that. The Dumble somehow had gotten to Carlos Santana, who is the one who loaned it to Amplified nation so they could build their version of a Steel String Singer. Most likely ERIC sold the Head to Carlos. Hope this helps. I have an old Guitar Magazine from around that time where Eric Documents the Changes that he Made. He may have some of the old 100 watt setup, but most likely does not use it anymore. This is why when he plays with G3 he wears headphones. It is also why Venus Isle has a different sound than Ah Via Musicom.

just imagine, eric has never even made a signature analog pedal in all these years. so, i find it hard to imagine eric making a digital version of all his analog gear . He is the most notorious tone hound who even now uses a tape machine for his delay (!)

Don't know if you heard but IK software have this input gain problem - everything sounds so bad and even if i load the model clean in tonex and i play the audio demo in the bottom it sounds so different than the same model with the same audio demo if you press play to listen to the model without loading it in tonex.. What the hell is going on. And same stuff happens when I try to play using different models... How do you resolve that problem because your sound is phenomenal even inside the mix!
