Truly Tropical Mango Varieties- 'Pram Kai Mea'

This exotic variety is from Thailand with fruit similar to ‘Nam Doc Mai’. The name loosely translated means that the mango is so good that even a Brahmin would trade his own wife for the mango.
It is often eaten green when it is sweet and crispy like an apple. When ripe, it is deep orange and very sweet and rich with no fiber.

Just had a locally grown mango from sunrise Florida and they called it KAI so I’m guessing this is what they meant. It looked very similar but I let it ripen and it got more yellow on the skin. Very delicious. Definitely tasted like candy.

I didn't really like this variety much. It's too sweet! I don't know how to describe it. All I know that...overly smell with a sticky sweetness.
