Truly Criminal

Truly Criminal

Жыл бұрын

On September 30th, 2019, just before midnight Lori Bray clocked off from her job at the local casino and headed home. A few hours later, her boss was driving into work and saw Lori's car on the side of the road. It looked like it had been abandoned... the sunroof was open, things inside were broken, and all her belongings were there... some of which were covered in blood.

Unfortunately, you cannot ever let your guard down, you cannot give or get a ride with a stranger, you cannot trust anybody you don't know. This was so tragic and senseless. And 35 years isn't nearly enough.

@@DomHamilton-jz4qnwhen it comes to crimes like sexual assault or murder statistically you can trust people you know even less than strangers, as most of those crimes are committed by someone the victim knows. so yes, sadly you can't trust anyone. technically the people who you love and trust the most are the biggest danger to your life.

Sexual predator was on the prowl. So sad that Lori was the woman who was too kind to say no to his pressure for a drive. I hate how these killers get to spin lies to save their hide from prison. And I don’t think his sentence was severe enough. Justice system needs to value women more. A kind, loving woman was brutally taken from the world. A scumbag loser POS gets to stay. He should have life, NO parole. He is a deceptive sexual predator and murderer.

Couldn't agree more! I've heard far too many cases of women being s.a.'d and their violators being given barely any time. 6 or 7 years! While people convicted for selling drugs get life sentences! It infuriates me. And where i live , rapes aren't even investigated. Thousands of rape kits sit on the shelves. Never even been tested! Which i heard on the local news. SMH. And this is why I'm strapped and ready to take anyone's life who tries anything like that with me.

Agreed!! It made me so upset when he lied about them having a relationship. There should not be any mitigating circumstances when someone is murdered because the murderer usually lies about the murder. In the case where it's extremely obvious there is a mitigating circumstance, then it should be taken into consideration, but all excuses should be scrutinized since most killers lie about why and how they killed.

So sad how she was such a sweet, gentle, and kind person to both people and animals. She was just quietly and happily living her life with her two precious dogs. I wish security would have walked her to her car at 12:30am(?) when she got off work. Sickening how that disgusting creep took her from this world. RIP Lori.

Them walking her to her car wouldn't have mattered if she'd still let him into it. He would have told the same story. Also, I suspect that he just would have waited for her to get off and attacked her and forced her into her car if she hadn't offered him a ride (since there was no security). He'd been trying to get a woman alone in a car all night. He wasn't going to be denied.

@@brennuvargr4638Her car was right there in front of the exit. If she had been less trusting & naive, she could easily have managed to get into her car and drive off without needing security. I'm surprised she didn't get a 'gut feeling' about this prowler .🤷 Maybe because he was so young and she felt like a 'mother' figure, and wanted to help him??? I'm definitely against women leaving the workplace alone late at night with no security guard - very dangerous situation in which the woman is a sitting duck for whichever monster happens to notice her, monitor her habits and begin to stalk her....

Your mistake!? Victim shaming! DON'T tell a victim, or their family and friends that they did something to deserve being violated. Stop telling woman how to 'avoid' rape and murder and start telling men to not rape and murder! Seriously, why are still having to say this!? It is NOT the victim's fault. Stop telling women how to behave, dress, whether they should drink, or whether out of the kindness of their heart's they shouldn't be nice to strangers. From what her friends and family say, being a kind, caring, and trusting woman was a huge part of who she was, and it should not be used to blame her for what happened to her.

The character assassination of Lori by the culprit & his legal team is a disgrace. As for the methadone in her system, I'm on a drug for bipolar that can give false-positive results in drug tests for methadone, so it's quite possible she was on similar medication. That's why she IDed him and probably gave him a lift out of guilt because he appeared incapacitated... Mentally yes, physically no. Sad loss. Any casino needs the strictest protocol against fraternizing with clients. Look at that casino shooter that shot hundreds. His gf worked there, giving him inside information. Prayers for her family... it's a shame a person gets killed for trying to be nice and helpful. She probably started second guessing her decision as soon as he got in. Kudos to her for scratcing the shit out of him and clinching his guilt! No way she offered the ride first.. you can tell in the viseo she was stopped by someone and asked.
