Elon doesn't need the tax credit, this just kills his competition. If this isn't met with changing the insane emission standards this is all to favor Elon.

@CarCoachReports We constantly hear about EV subsidies mostly because they are consumer programs and the issue of EVs had become politicized. But what about oil and gas subsidies? If we end EV subsidies shouldn’t we also end oil and gas subsidies? Wouldn’t that make it a fair playing field?

I don't know why people are celebrating putting american auto companies out of business. Except for Tesla of course, the only one of the lot with a positive balance sheet that isn't neck-deep in debt.

Maybe this will make Tesla show the real price on the site and not the After All Incentives. They’re great cars. I own one but couldn’t take advantage of any incentives.

Initially, I clicked on this article, thinking it was supportive on EVs. I let it play, while I was concentrating on something else. I hope the author of this video understands about oil production. One can drill till they’re blue in the face. It has to be processed. The oil industry, who owns the processing, has no desire to process any additional oil, as they like the price high. Also, does the author not understand that having EVs actually will help to lessen the demand, and bring down the cost of fuel. Also, under President Biden, we drilled more oil than any other time in American history. Ole Egon and crew have zero desire to lessen taxes. Trump has walked back all his promises, stating he cannot promise a thing.
@orionbetelgeuse19374 күн бұрын
no, the ev's will not lessen the demand they will just change the buyer. On the other hand a permanent support for the ev's will stop their development because they would sell anyway , they don't have to get better.
@steveellsworth25474 күн бұрын
@ The part about the support is false. Why do you think Musk wants to do away with the subsidy. It’s economies and production of scale. Must also received the benefit of those subsidies prior to him building out those batteries and processes. Musk wants to stop anyone from going through the same production doorway he had the benefit of going through.

Of course Elon agrees! He knows the EV fantasy fad is coming to an end and now that he has all the money he will buy legacy car brands now that he's destroyed them and all his fanboys will start to buy his petrol cars because he's such a visionary. I never liked EVs anyway and I cannot wait for the mandates to end!

Tesla has about 40 billion in the bank and makes about 10k on each vehicle. Rivian and Lucid are digging a deep hole and Tesla is strong and is getting stronger and has leveredge to get lower batterty prices chips etc. They also recently decrease the price of the electric motor by 40 percent. They are like Muhamad Ali looking down at Sonny Liston. All the legacy car makers are in very bad shape and have tons of debt.
