The constant violence in Israel, which I do not need to describe, was always a mystery to me. I have had an awareness of this problem since around 1967. I lived next to a Jewish hotel and restaurant, where I periodically was asked to do some little job or to help with some problem that might come up on the Sabbath which were not solvable for devout Jews. I had some Jewish friends during the summer when our local population swelled. Anyway, all of my experiences with these people were positive; and I had only a brief introduction to the concept of Israel. Three years later, while experiencing the war in Viet Nam, I remember seeing, in a newspaper, a picture of some young people like myself loading melons onto a wagon at a Kibbutz in Israel. It looked like such a peaceful, happy scene. I even considered a future visit at that time. But life took me elsewhere. Over the years, I would hear about violence and wars in Israel. This always brought me back to wondering how the contrast between life in the Kibbutzim and terrorist attacks could logically coexist. It has only been in recent years, as I decided to understand more about religion, that I undertook the learning of Hebrew so that I could see for myself what was in the Bible without the help of King James. I listened to Israeli news to try to get a feel for the language and learn a little bit about what was currently going on. Sporadic violence seemed still to be on the table, as was the Two State Solution. This seemed less logical as I learned more. Skipping ahead, I have become firmly convinced that there is no greater key to the problems in Israel than that solution held up like a carrot on a stick for everyone. The TSS ostensibly promised peace to the Israelis, and more land to the Palestinians. This seemed reasonable. Now I realize that this, other than the machinations of Iran and Sunni-Shiite politics, was probably the single most powerful motivator for terrorism around the World, and especially in Israel. We know now that the semi-hidden agenda of terrorism was the elimination of Israel and Jews, and that a TSS was only a step in that direction. Dangling that TSS in front of the World fed an impatience on the part of Palestinians to make progress. The terrorism and the worldwide influence program were the two main tools to reach for given the inability to beat Israel on the battlefield. The settler problem, which was always a popular movement designed to take full possession of de facto Israeli sovereignty, which has been opposed one way or another since 1948, especially by Western foreign policy, and the deep-thinking Muslim leadership, was elevated to a great threat anytime there was an incident. Settlers were vilified as terrorists never were in the foreign media. The TSS required that the settlers be the problem, and announced that settler violence was the reason for the sporadic bloodletting. The World Media, and the UN, and the relevant diplomats and guardians of sacred foreign policy that accepted that situation and sold it to the World. We know now that there was always more than a spark of anti-semitism in those areas, and grumbling quietly beneath the surface like a sleeping giant for the general public. We know that the Brits, in a mood of contrition for Empire, were in an apologetic mood for the civilization that they had brought to the undeveloped World, necessarily with some famous degree of authoritarianism and violence. They had a grudge against the Jews because of the problem that they posed for them after they had made deals with the Hashemites for their support. There was also their plan for the Middle East and the violent resistance they encountered from the Israelis who were not grateful enough. It was interfering with the disposition of their mandate. The Americans, keenly aware of the developing Cold War, were suspicious of Israel, especially since many of the immigrants there were fleeing Russia. You can't trust the Russians; and obviously the Israelis were in some way a Russian colony. Not true; but easily comprehended as fact. I would love to flesh out this post, and look up some facts to refresh my aging memory to make my points more cogently; but I will stop here and say that I am glad to see Huckabee in his new role as a solution to the lie about settlers that they are the problem and the cause of the violence, especially in Judea and Samaria. Israeli sovereignty of every square centimeter of land in Israel is a basic requirement. Israel is too small to harbor violent terrorists in their own Land!

Pompeo came out several times against Trump concerning some of these law legal issues. He should’ve kept his opinion to himself. I am a Christian and I can answer this for you. We follow Christ as the Son of God and our Lord and Savior. The Bible tells us the Jews are God's chosen people. I as a Christian am not trying to convert any Jewish person to Christianity. The Jews already follow the same God we do. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Christians cherish God's chosen people and stand with them. God Spoke to Abram (later called Abraham) and said "I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you". We Christians take this literally and this is why we love Israel so much.
