Trump assassination attempt: Biden says no assumptions should be made about the shooter’s motive

US President Joe Biden has addressed the nation, following an assassination attempt on his rival in the election race, Donald Trump.
Biden said he had a short but good conversation with Trump following the incident.
He's also asked for an independent review of what happened at Trump's rally and will share the findings.

It's a human reaction to be indifferent at best towards people who bring chaos into our lives with greed and ambition. I would look to that dynamic if some of the security people were not doing their best. For example, if the person speaking was genuinely loved the security might have been more devoted to their job of keeping him safe. On top of that it seems pretty clear that Trump rallies are seething points of negativity and blame which might generate conditions that are impossible to make truly secure. I don't know the answer but I do know it's bad for us to be so divided.
