being a combat vet, I can say first hand, shooting at something, or a person 300ft / 300 yards away is absorber standing up, nothing to rest on, if only armed with a pistol, with a rifle, not much better, an agent shooting at the ambusher, Question, with what type of fire arm, A pistol or rifle, scoped ? what did the agent have.......... As combat engineer, I had snipers taking shots at me from the same distance, they weren't to far off, three out of five, came pretty close, From that distance, I never heard the gun fire, nor see smoke, but for sure you can hear the rounds sizzling past your head / ears. How long was it stated the shooter was posted at the fence line shown. Ture or not, I hadn't heard any mention of K--9s being used to smell out these type of creeps So much about this to me is lacking. I'm not an expert.... man power / resources is everything. spotting a rifle barrel in a tree line, with what, eyes of hawk, able to distinguish it from a branch, the guy was dressed how, like a weekender going to the beach, or in greens. I want to thank the witness who was aware of their surroundings and saw the man running away and jumping into his vehicle. She took action without any hesitation and took a picture of the license plate on the vehicle. I do have a question though for the secret service and any other government personnel who were there that day. How in the world was this man on the grounds of the golf club for twelve hours with a gun, two backpacks and a go pro? There should have been someone noticing him and the gun in his possession. I do want to thank the security service sniper who saw him and took immediate action. It was way too close and so much time before he was noticed. This should have never happened.
