Because process crime. The FBI conducts these interviews in an aggressive and prolonged manner to stump the target. Bombarding you with questions. Even the most mundane of details that you might forget or slip up, like claiming some event happened around 10 when it in fact happened earlier or later than you recalled can be considered "lying to an FBI agent" which is a felony, I believe. Even if you did not do anything inherently wrong, you can still be charged with a crime. Doesnt matter if you think you are innocent or not. Anyone that's competent or has a competent lawyer will tell you to never talk to the FBI. Or in this case, Mueller and his team. The question you proposed is frankly, dumb and shortsighted.

It is a bitter irony that in the Vietnam war we had on one hand Mueller commanding a platoon of Company H, 2nd Battalion (“The Magnificent Bastards”), 4th Marines and its mission “to close with and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver, or repel the enemy’s assault by fire and close combat” and on the other hand trump at the same time immersing himself in the Manhattan party scene and cynically boasting that “fighting venereal disease was his Vietnam” A disgusting war coward, he evaded sacrifice not once but five times in the Vietnam war ... a draft dodger par excellence while over 50,000 americans died as he carried on his self-serving hedonistic life style with absolutely no regrets or second thoughts.

We used to be able to force something like this to happen, because the Republican voter base used to at least want to appear reasonable. They're not anymore. @shadowspider97 жыл бұрын
By chance could you clarify what kind of approval he needs for what actions? For example there was the story just today about McMasters 'noise bleed' strategy, ie: that he is trying to convince Trump to use the next time North Kora conducts a nuke or missile test as an excuse to launch an attack. And from there it would be up to Kim if he labeled the attack a deceleration of war. Which it pretty much would be. Is that something Trump needs approval from congress for or can he give that order it himself?

@rocksfire43907 жыл бұрын
its simple, they are not talking to 1 or 2 people. they are talking to thousands of people, reading thousands of documents. they have to get court orders and follow rules which take time. people don't crack in a day, it can take weeks of supplied pressure for them to cave and give information. the difference i can only assume is you're dealing with non-criminals and Muller is dealing with criminals. they don't act the same way, e.g one will give information easily while the other will not unless you force their hand in some way.
