Yes. I am from Newtown, specifically Sandy Hook district of old. I had tiny family members in that school at the time. My cousins grandchildren. 4 of them. They were not physical victims of that massacre, but as freshman-seniors in college, that ultra, hyper alertness has never left them. Ironically, their parents, my cousins sons, are Trumpublicans. I cannot fathom that their, now college age children are.

As a child most of my family was Republican. I never felt anything wrong about that growing up until George Bush. I’m sorry you were duped so terribly. As one who closely followed politics since I was 18 in 1991, this slide with republicans had been happening my entire early adulthood. I live in 🇨🇦 and my brother has guns. He has an AR 15 (I'm not thrilled about it) however he had to go through some serious scrutiny and a 3 month with period. The government checked with his wife, Dr and employer. He has storage and safety requirements and all guns are stored in a metal cabinet under double lock. You can have your guns - but you need to be safe about it.

There is a saying that I used when my kids were growing up (as in toddlers), and it went a little something like this. Kids demand attention at times whether it is positive or negative, and that's how I see Trump behaving, just like the foot stomping toddler who doesn't get their own way!
